I've never heard of that before. If they were doing that for some kind of advantage, (why else do it?) then surley that is cheating? I always thought they were washing dirt/mud off the rocks with plain old water. World round minders have cheating down to an artform. It's whatever they can get away with... It's up to checkers and officials to call them on it but they typically get away with a lot - at least they do here in the states.

It's typically his dad, Martin Lampkin or Ben Hemmingway doing the yelling. Listen to what they say and you'll find it's pretty useful information - "half tire right" etc... He does exactly that. Wish I could! Might not be such a bad thing having an ex-world champ or somebody on Ben's level yelling info at you. In any event, I suspect it helps Dougie or they wouldn't be doing it.

Try the newer Alpinestars - they have more ankle support than my old ones. The down side is they're less flexible.

I found a pair of DID rims from a TL125 on ebay and laced them to my Reflex hubs. The only modification needed was to slightly enlarge the front rim holes for the Reflex spoke nipples.

I’m not sure I entirely agree with your explanation cadman. The top half of the metal sheathing is not threaded – there is still thread at the bottom (electrode end). I don’t think it presents any less thread in the combustion chamber as far as detonation goes. I do agree that there are fewer threads to get fouled and stuck in the head though. I’ve never seen a plug like this before. It almost looks like a combination of a standard design (with gasket) and a tapered seat version. I suspect that the taper is meant to seat as the gasket compresses. This could possibly aid in heat transfer and sealing. In any case, I’m not holding my breath for an Iridium version. The plug’s been out at least since 4RTs were introduced. It’s too bad, I suspect that they would help with 4RT starting problems. Is there an Iridium plug available for the 4RT? I seem to remember someone saying that a CR6EIA-9 crosses to the stock CR6EH-9 but it has full threads. What's with the partial threads on the stock plug?

How about the tank vent - is it clogged?

Just use the 40:1 amount and add it to two gallons instead of one.
