What helped me with my 4rt was pushing the dot 4 clutch fluid upwards instead of downwards,i also put a gas gas hose on instead. When i put the new hose on i did away with the swivel joint . The ELF oil improved it also, Hope this is some use to you.

Just go and enjoy it,tackle as many sections as you can and aim to finish.

had the same problem bent my brake pedal and as perce says you can stand on it and nothing,and i'am also 18 st. A friend of mine heated it up and staightend it,but it snapped on me at the start of day 2 of the lakes two day. Buy a new one and keep straightend one as a spare.

Been looking at this topic and have started wondering if this has anything to do with my bike stalling.I have got to thinking that my bike has got harder to kick over than when it was new.It is about ten months old and i have nether checked the valves,does anyone think this could be a problem with the valves.Although the bike is hard to kick over it start first kick usually.

I have the same problem,what seemed to help was a light coating on the air filter.Early clutch control helps me,i have stalled mine so many times lost count.I have run with 43 rear and made no difference.My tickover has been set pritty high,but what has helped the most is the light spray on the filter.And yes it has sent me over the bars!

has anyone had problems with engine oil mixing with gearbox oil?gearbox oil going through to the engine.

I often ride trials with mike,infact at the same avent tomorrow! I'am new to trials and have watched mike a lot to pick up tips,and there is a lot to learn from the man.Respect given!

Has anyone got any tips on oil and filter change!When i take the casing off its hanging from cables,and the gasket needs cleaning off.to me this is putting strain on the cables,twisting and pulling.Also bits of the gasket need cleaning from the casing.Just wondered what other 4rt owners do?

Can anyone tell me where i can buy a dog t**d tool that splits in two,so it's not a 'T' shape to avoid it stabbing you when you fall off.Have seen them but can't find them .

I rode an 07 on sat and found it pinked a bit at top end,this changed a bit after second fill up.The fuel i used was different to what was in it but mixed with the same oil(castrol).The bike belongs to a mate who when loaned me it told me that he found it pinked.If anyone has tips on this i would be greatfull.The tickover seemed to drop after second fill up also,apart from the pinking the bike sounded and performed great!
