My typical gym sesh goes like this: 3min walk (warm up) 15min speed interval run 10min revolving staircase 15min wave machine (push from side to side) 2 sets 15 reps lat pull down cable cross over tricep rope (arms at 90 degrees then pull down) bicep curl precher curl (machine) 30 sit and reach sit ups 15 press ups Is this any good???? it was the program the gym instructor gave me but i dont think she had any clue what trials was!!!!

Thought Metheringham quarry was out of bounds for practice these days?? when is bracken rocks open???? how much does it cost???

I am just trying to give myself the best chance and as I cant ride anywhere the gym is the only option it seems How far are you fom hawks nest and burrycliffe? Hawks nest 73 miles dont know where burycliffe is, cant find it on google or ordinence survey

Right then, I have come to realise that for me to enjoy and make a reasonable assault on the SSDT next year I need to be super fit, so has anyone got any tips/ training programs to help??? I know the best thing to do is go out on the bike as often as pos but I have no practice area but I do ride every weekend and go to the gym about 4 times a week. I would be interested what kind of training program the world class boys have, any clues????

Hello, anyone out there know the easiest way to get into the glow plugs of a d65 1.9 d renault kangoo. I cant get the socket and rachet handle under the air box and can't work out how to get the air box off?? Anyone any clues????

Hi there, I am considering riding the SSDT next year, I am currently riding an 07 175F and was wondering how the people who rode them this year got on????? I know narita got on well but I am more interested in the clubmen riders, i'm not really interested in the results more the perfomance of the bike. Was it quick enough over the moor and on the road etc. I have done the loch lomond 2 day on it and found that ok, although it was a bit slow over the moor. Any info would be great. Cheers spike

Has he checked the adjustment of the lever rod???? sounds like the piston is going all the way to the stop. if you back it out it will come back to the bar but will move the bite point.

Hi Mostar I have an 07 175 and it is fine. I rang nigel birkett about this very matter and he said it all depends on how you ride it, If you are like me and are on and off the clutch all the time it will get hot but to help cool the clutch he told me to drill holes in clutch push plate to let the oil in and around it, also 10w 40 oil helps.

Took tape off, cleaned it refitted, then put the valve in tyre on.................. Leaked again Took tyre off, Rim tape had unseated it's self, reseated rim tape tyre back on........... Sweet as a nut Cheers folks

Although your idea is a quick fix it does have a few flaws: No leaks, no grip, no reliability, NO CLEANS and prenty of fives

Hi all, I have just changed the rear tyre and it has started leaking through the spokes!!!!! I had a look at previous topics and found the link to Ryan Young page on how to replace the rim tape. I am after a quick fix for the time being can I just re-seat the current tape?????? or even take it off and put it back on???? Also what are the legal requirements for a bike to pass it's MOT????

Hi there brucey, I bought one on ebay a couple of years ago for my 2001 TXT 280, went away with work for a few weeks and some scroat nicked my bike. So I have one in the garage which is pretty clean, no leaks or mulleredness.

Hi folks, there is a couple of sections of circular concrete pipe at the bottom of my road which I have been attempting when i've been a bit bored, I am having trouble with one, which to me doesn't look to hard but it is only the odd occasion that I get up it.... The section of pipe is at a thirty degree angle (under cut) and the top edge sits 3 - 3.5 ft above the flat run up and it is about a bikes lenth in diameter on top (just enough to get the bike on and stop) oh and it has been filled with concrete so it is flat on top. Now the way I have been trying it is: Flat run up, open throtle and dump clutch to get the front wheel on top, dip the clutch and compress rear suspension, release clutch and give it a big heave ho.. this only works about 1in5 I normally either sump out or get on top and fall back down .... anyone any tips????

Hi all, I am in a hurry to get my bike licence so I can do the jersey 2 day and some other road trials, now I have booked my test in lincoln (10th sept) but all the training companies I have rang are all fully booked for direct access until oct but a couple of them said if I was on 125 they might be able to fit me in, but if I do it on a 125 I will be restricted to 33bhp for 2 years. I have seen something on this forum about the bhp of a trials bike but I can't for the life of me find it anywhere. So what is the bhp of a trials bike? I am pretty sure it's much lower than 33 but I just want to make sure. Also how many lessons did it take you folks to get up to test standard, I am a reasonable rider and don't think I will need that many lessons. Cheers Spike
