Have to agree, the bloke was a complete t*@t.
Was pretty funny, and doug got a well deserved cheer when he done it.
Think they should employ big john to do the whole thing.

i suffer from arm pump too I have managed to reduce it by using a "stick of pain" sounds rude i know.... basically if you chop a third off a broom handle, drill a hole in the middle, tie off some string through the hole and attach a weight to the other end.
Use this to train your forearms by winding up the string until the weight is at the top (as if you are opening the throttle) then lower it using the opposite movement (shutting off the throttle)
You can use this as often/little as you like...
I do ten reps of the above with a 2.5Kg weight on the end four times a week and I have noticed a vast improvement, still makes me want to cry everytime I do it tho
Hope this helps

Well then I am looking for some answers on this one because I have no idea whats happened.
As the SSDT is nearly upon us and I am on night shift This week is the perfect time for me to prep my bike. I started off all well and good by stripping the bike down to the bones and giving it a good clean, then I thought it would be a good idea to check out the carb, now I dont know a great deal about carbs so i didn't want to mess with it too much, I took the float bowl off to see if there was any muck in there, it was clean as a whistle, happy days, so I put it back on, I then removed the choke and inspected it, same as before clean. Next step change the throttle cable, easy enough, once complete I fitted the carb, airbox and exhaust to make sure it was all working properly before I moved on to the rest of my prep.
As I had the carb off I gave it a handful of throttle to get some fuel in, then kicked her over to my suprise it started first kick with no choke and was running fine, (well it seems to be but you can never tell fully when it's sat on a stand with no wheels on) just to check everything was in order I pulled the choke out expecting the engine to rev up a bit, BUT, (now here is the thing) as soon as I pulled the choke 10000000th of a mm the bike died as if it flooding.
I have checked and double checked to see if I have missed anything but it is back to the way it was only with a new cable.
Has anyone out there got any clues as to what is going on????????
all suggestions welcome
Cheers
Spike

I have always used tubeless, (now using dunlop as they stay on the rim better) if you get a puncture you can simply fix it with dog turds no need to mess around getting the tube out and trying to find the hole, and if dog turds dont work then you can stick a tube in it, so you have 2 back-ups with a tubeless, where as changing the tube or rapairing the old one take a bit longer with a tubed.
Don't know what the difference in terms of tyre construction.

Hello mate,
The only place I know of in lincolnshire where you can practice legally is wilsons farm which is just east of the A15 at barton upon humber not very far from you at all.
Put these co-ordinates 53.687508, -0.479450 in to google maps and you can see where it is

Van now gone to repairers. If they repair it as quick as we might have it back for Scotland.
You might get it back quicker than you think, I've heard the repairers just got a crackin deal on some scudo parts from some bloke down the pub!!!!!!
Hope you get to Scotland mate.
If you find out who done it give them a kick and a punch and a headbut and a knee in the groin from me

Cheers for the offer boofont, but I might as well buy one as it might need to use it at least once a year if you know what I mean
moose bag and camelbak it is then, I already have a large camelback which holds 2.25L which I used on the Pollock so it should be reet

what does that say about the user then???

As the mother of all trials is fast approaching I am thinking about the last few bits and bobs, which of the above is best?
The rucksack I can see being a bit of a faf having to put it on and take it off, but all your kit will be in one place and you will be able to carry more (gloves waterproofs etc) the bum bag may not be as big and energy draining but limited on space, nothing at all!!!! dont think I want to take that risk.
whats the opinions of the TC population???
