didn't birkett try and create his own machine not too many years ago????? can't see why he doen't start producing his own machines now he obviously has the knowledge.....
suppose the cost/time to make your own engines must be massive... I personally think it needs to be bigger companies who already have the facilities and and funds to do such a thing that need to get involved.
would love to see a british name on the market tho

as there was last year...... and we all know how that worked out
I do hope they manage to get the bikes there this year as it will be interesting to see how they get on.
they might even get a world championship team together if it all works out, which can only be a good thing! that in-turn may inspire other companies to join the sport.
we can live in hope cant we.

is the seat just foam or is there any metal spars in it?? never actually had a proper look at one.
was wondering about the height difference, with me being a short a*%se it may turn that loooong stretching dab into a 5 don't suppose it makes that much difference to your self, does it affect any of the more vertically challenged?????
Oh and a whack in the nads every now and again is the very least of my worries on the scottish

been thinking about getting one of the seats that come as standard with the non racing models (not the long ride kit) as i want to do a couple of hare and hounds events. Then I had a thought, can you hollow out the underside of the seat to hold tools etc???? Think it would be quite handy for one lap/road events too, and possibly the SSDT if I get an entry.

well looks like I am going to Daws Hill near High Wycombe, never saw that coming, which club has venues nearest there?? do they have anywhere to practise????

I had one on my little punto ( not the ideal car i know) but it was very harsh on the back end, also bust a hole in the back box with it scrapping on the floor going to some venues. I dont really like the bike rack form of transportation, all the weight of the bike on one point never filled me with confidence. Although they are handy and don't take up as much room as a trailer.
everything is a compromise i suppose

Same here about time the sport got some decent coverage. And we didn't have to wait until three weeks after the event to see it.

Looks like I am gonna be moving to the oxford area (either wallingford or walters ash, just north of high wycombe) in the early part of next year and I was wondering if there was much going on down that way? In lincolnshire at the moment I can pretty much get a trial every weekend (travelling an hour and a half max), is it the same down there? Is there any road trials at all?

Don't know for sure but I think you can see the suspension linkage just behind the sump guard, which would suggest it's an EVO.

NNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!! , the simplicity of the little beast is half the appeal, hopefully they will see sense and stay with a/c. surely water cooled will mean a change of frame and add more weight with a rad and pump etc, can't see any advantages at all.
