  2. Hi again rang Birkitts today and they told me to put 300ml 5 wt fork oil in. This is with the forks with the blue plastic top bolts. They also advised 17.5 pilot and 102.5 main jets float hight 18mm , 10 tooth front 57 rear . Very helpful lots of useful tips Hope this info is of use to someone .Cheers all Martin

  15. Just changed my 07 gasser 250 for a 08 200 rev3 . I have had more problems with the beta in 8 weeks than i have had with my last 3 gassers IMHO i think the build quality of the gasser is better ! What you will notice is the beta has a much smaller turning circle . I will be going back to a gasser next year
  16. Just discoverd that the pump casing on my 08 rev 3 200 was leaking so phoned Lampkins thursday lunchtime and they said that they would replace FOC on return of the old parts .The new parts were with me by lunchtime Friday What fantastic service !!! Well pleased cheers Beta UK
  17. Thanks for your reply i have the slow action tube , the carb is ok no flooding or problems with starting or stalling downhill , plug looks a little on the rich side but ok. My problem is that it doesnt run on at all when i shut off and i seem to be reving in section to avoid stalling . I think this is probably due to my crap riding style . When i spoke to Lampkins today they told me that the 200 was not fitted with a fly weight but the 250/70 was, this seemed strange to me as the 200 is aimed more at the novice/clubman rider and as stated in the previous reply some of the good riders remove them from the bigger bikes . So its back on the blower in the morning to see if the 250/70 one will fit , Thanks again for your reply and when the swelling goes down i will defo be out to practice loads more
  18. Hi there its fitted with a black tube Domino so i think thats a slow action , i will phone around today see whats about or its back to the Gasser . thanks for your help
  19. Hi all i have tested my new [to me ] beta 200 2008 and find it quite snappy even compared to my 250 gasser does any one know if i can get a head spacer and flyweight to soften it a little? or any other mods to make it a softer power delivery the bike is stock at the moment runing 10/42 . Any help would be very welcome . cheers martin
  20. Thanks for all your help with this topic I have taken the plunge in to Beta ownership just got a 2008 200cc rev 3 ,a very tidy bike thats had little use !! I will keep you posted as to how i get on cheers martin
  21. Hi there i am thinking of changing to a 08 beta 200 from my 07 250 gasser . I have had 3 gassers with no problems at all , clean filter after each ride, change trany oil after 3 trials. The gasser tends to get away from me a little [ runing fly weight and head spacer with slow action tube] and as they dont do a 200 any more i think i might try a 200 beta .I have riden one round the car park at a local trial and it seemed ok ,slightly front heavy but seemed to have a tighter turning circle and the kickstart on the wrong side was fine .The bike was an 08 but i found the motor rattley compared to my gasser .Is this the norm on beta 200s ? Also should i be looking for any other Quirks with these bikes ? I think a less powerful bike would improve my riding and have any of you made a similar change ? How did you get on ? thanks for any advice . martin
  22. I also run 10/43on my 07 250 but in the winter when its slimey . I n the summer i change to 9/43 when theres more grip and the sections are tighter. Have i got this the wrong way round ? .Seems to find more grip for me this way round
  23. Thanks for the help with this the spring loaded pin looks a great idea Imay look at the delta wing type rests for the R\H side they may just miss the K\start thanks again martin
  24.
