Hi paper round bags is the way to go ! we also use this method , but ours are plastic coated and have been going strong for a few years .
Leave them with the observer and they pull the pegs out at the end
Good for setting out as well we use the surveyor type flags and they fit in well
Mug the local paper boys
-
. That's brilliant. Thanks very much

Hi every one maybe you could help me figure out where the bash plate rubbers go on my 4rt took of the plate to fix an oil leak from the gasket and they just fell off and its not obvious where they go

Hi totalshell
Thought of that but am using crusader sliders and would be much easier to have it threaded. Each end as for the local trials dealer I'm in Somerset. Think BVM is my nearest about 70 miles. But will check out e bay for 2nd hand gasser one or such like
Cheers Martin

Hi all can anyone help me to locate a 15mm alloy spindle about 230mm long as i broke my bantam one today at a trial and now want to fit a knock through one , i think wrighty was selling them at telford ? or failing that what sort of alloy would i need so i could get the local guy to turn me up one , need it quick as pre 65 champ round next sunday
CHEERS FOR ANY HELP

Xc_ting trials jeans have removable knee guards made from a semi hard foam material. But I think they have gone bust. you should be able to get them from the net. I have used them for a couple of years and they are great. Hope that helps Martin
-
Any one know if wrighty has a stand there this year ? And where are the regs ?or a phone number would be great . I have ridden the road trial for the last 2 years such a shame it's a non starter this year
Cheers. Martin

Round 3 of the somerton mc club championship is this Saturday at a new venue Yarley mx track , all marked out and ready to go , couple good hill climbs , Post code BA5. 1PD . Four routes from beginner ( conducted ) to clubman expert. Hopefully the rain will stay off and it will be a little easier than the last round.

Brilliant trial very well organised on some great land can't wait for the Dartmoor 2 day . Big thanks for all the hard work by bill and the team and all the observers

Hi Stu got the clutch from peter savage just google RCR villiers about 45 quid very well made and as you say primary tentioner is not worth making as it cost 15 quid and smooths the bike out quite a bit
-
Hi Higgo all Stu said plus I fitted an 8 spring clutch to mine as action was heavy with up rated springs , this made clutch slip a thing of the past and you can use it all day without tiring ! Also fitted a primary chain tensioner as the 12tooth primary sprocket is a pain to get the tension right even with a half link both these are available from RCR For not a lot of money Might pay to have the compression plates welded to the crank webs as a friend had a rivet come away and wrecked the bore and piston ! Just done both of mine Cheers Martin
-
thanks stu I thought that was right just had a mental block and changed the sliding gears and it didn't look right . I have a three bantams and one has a standard box and you can tell the difference hence the engine strip .. Very clever Wonder who thought of it ?
-
Hi all doing a bantam engine and I cant remember what gears I swop from mainshaft to lay shaft I think its main shaft 3rd with lay shaft 2nd the ones fixed with the circlip not the sliding gears . I wrote down the number of teeth 26 to22 and 25 to 21 but cant remember if its the fixed or sliding gears . Many thanks Martin

Hi Ben I have had both the 173 and the 225 kits fitted to a 125 gasser , the 225 needed a heavy flywheel weight and i also fitted a s3 low comp head insert and it had loads of grip of the bottem . TOTALY TRANSFORMS THE BIKE !!!!
-
I had the same problem on a beta rev took the tyre off again and fitted a jitse rim band the one with the built in valve . Took 10 mins to fit with plenty of tyre soap just make sure it seats in the recess on tha inside edge of the rim properly and it will be fine . If you fit a tube water will get in and start to corrode the rim and you will be forever checking the tyre hasn't slipped round putting tension on the valve
Pain in the a## I know but well worth the effort
-
Thanks for that I will check it out
-
Hi there was thinking of fitting the s3. 280 kit does it fit easily , crankcase mods or no? Does it give you more bottom end grunt ? I already have a futt titanium system (mitani) and do you need to mod anything else if you fit this kit ?
Many thanks for all your help Martin
-
Hi Vinceg
I fitted an s3 full sticker kit to my mont , cost £70 but they are very good quality and have done 4 very muddy trials and are as good as new , they look great and they do about 4colours I think .The bike was fitted with some non genuine repsol stickers and the colours and quality was CRAP ! My advice you get what you pay for : )

Hi I insure with Msm and have done for the last three years and have found them to be the exception to the insurance merry go round !! This year I got 9 points for speeding and was not looking forward to the renewal quote but to my surprise it was £16.00 extra
