  1. Same base unit as used on the Bantam conversion. Think they are from Harry Stanistreet originally.
  2. You'll probably have to remove the spoke thats blocking so you can fit a new spoke.
  3. Sorry i cant categorically answer your question but it doesnt look like a miller frame to me. Whatever its a nice looking bike and would be a fabulous addition to anyones stable.
  4. Just to let all our members and friends of Peak Classic Trials Club know that i have now updated the clubs website with results of last Sundays trial along with up to date Club Championship standings. Please feel free to visit the website and have a look www.peakclassic.co.uk

  6. Very little if anything in Mid Wales. Will be a 2 hour drive each way for me to get a ride. Suppose i've been spoilt in the past living near Matlock.
  7. Just my two pennorth FWIW. Assuming there are more than two routes then how about this. On the easiest of routes only then the winner of the Club Championship has to move up to the next class the following year and cant drop back. One proviso if they are insistent on riding the easiest route then they score 0 Championship points so just ride for the fun of it. My old club had 5 routes, 3 in the sections as two were 50/50 routes, so there was a route above the easy route which rode 4 or 5 of the easier Intermediate sections and 5 or 6 of the easiest sections. Worth a try as the new season creeps over the horizon ?

DE4 4HY BOTH EVENTS WILL MOST DEFINITELY STILL BE GOING AHEAD. THEY WILL NOT BE CANCELLED. NO NEED. Mick Andrews Training day can all people already entered please arrive no later than 10.30 so that Mick can start promptly. So full steam ahead and see you there.

  12. Thanks lsv ive put them into Google maps and they are just over 2 1/2 hours away. Looks like thats my only option. Heard good things about Aqueduct Suppose ive been spoilt as never had to travel more than an hour at most to get to a trial before. Thanks for the suggestions.
  13. I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions for clubs that hold trials suitable for British Bikes / Pre 65 in Wales or more specifically mid wales. I know of Aqueduct but thats more north wales. Just wondering if there are any or many. Any suggestions ? Cheers
  14. I've been down there today laying out the sections for Sundays event and the venue is in superb condition. The rocky stream bed, which is such a nice change to ride as we get less and less chance to ride streams nowadays, has just the right amount of water running down and the valley sides are bone dry. The course will be a mixture of stream sections and climbs on the valley side so something for everyone with routes to suit beginners right up to Expert level. So dont miss out on your chance to come and ride with us at this super venue in the beautiful Derbyshire Peak District. See you Sunday

  17. A lot of "shed engineering" been going on there. Make do and mend is all very fine on a budget but the real killer at most clubs, forget the Scottish because they would just laugh, is that hydraulic clutch. They might turn a blind eye, as long as you are not winning anything lol, to the front end and the carb but that clutch would be a "problem" for most clubs. So "specials" it would be or maybe Twinshocks for some clubs. However you may know better. If you just want to ride it then it doesnt really matter what class you are put in because you still ride the same sections. Good luck with getting it fettled. Youve got a busy winter coming up but thats half the fun. Be nice to see a before and after shot.
  18. By the time youve done you might as well buy a billet alloy one from Alan Whitton in Dronfield.
  19. I have now updated the clubs website www.peakclassic.co.uk with results of Sundays trial along with current 2018 club championship standings. Cheers.
  20. This weekend Peak Classic Trials Club return to Thorntree Farm, Uppertown, Matlock, Derbyshire. S45 0JF Expert, Classic Expert, Intermediate, Classic Intermediate and Clubman routes Classes for British Bikes, Pre 85 Twinshocks, Pre 95 Air Cooled Monos and Over 50's on Moderns Thorntree Farm is a very popular venue with a good mix of stream sections, wooded banks and rocks and there is something to suits all tastes. Venue opens at 9.30am. Start time is as usual 11.00am and entries close 15 mins prior to the start. Please bring an observer if possible as they are always welcome. Marzocchi forks in Norton sliders. Alloy and titanium spindles. Modified Billet alloy yokes etc etc etc Loads more but its an ongoing project. Not as trick as some.
  22. Sorry obviously i can upload photos. Didnt realise i could
  23. Running an Amal premier 26mm as wanted to keep it legal but a MK1 and a half some people will say is better. Price is about the same as a Mikuni or Dellorto but no hassle over eligibility so works for me. Think you might have to grind the cam mounting off the end on the crank, but it was a while ago, if you want to use a D7 clutch cover and of course if your engine is a B175 then the kickstart shaft hole needs boring out too. Bolt holes all line up. Cant post photos on here of mine sorry.
