  1. The time has come to renew the rear tyres on the Sprinter. The std Vaneao ones are ok on the road but are useless on wet grass or even a slight bit of mud. Not looking to go off roading just to be sure i can get out of a venue. Sometimes its spinning on wet grass on the flat So what would the team recommend ? Needs to be ok for the M.O.T. btw. Thanks

  5. Nice apart from those damn black rims. Yukkkkkk
  6. You could ride it at our club and you would be most welcome but on the results it would say "Ineligible machine" bit like air cooled scorpa. No big deal though you still get to ride with your mates so whats the problem ? you just dont score points.
  7. For those that are interested i updated the clubs website the other day with results etc for this trial. Please go to www.peakclassic.co.uk for full details of the event along with a calendar of events for 2017 etc . Thank you.

  9. But if they were manufactured before December 31st 1964 then surely thats correct. They did exist ive seen photos to prove it although i think they were converted road or trail bikes but then again so were the British bikes werent they ?
  10. Sell the Jeep by a Land Rover the real deal.
  11. Looked at the Marzocchi ones but they are nothing like mine Andy

  13. Oh that one derr sorry yes of course i fitted that one i thought he meant at the end of the clutch pushrod. Sorry i'm getting senile

Much sooner ride your bike in the beautiful Derbyshire Peak District wouldnt you ? See you there.
  15. Sorry i dont know about the D1, D3 or D7 motors as nobody i know uses them so you would have to ask Harry. He does modify the Clutch basket that i do know because i have fitted one to my Bantam "sows ear" project. With the clutch fitted you no longer use the needle roller thrust bearing though.
  16. LOL so im now none the wiser. Not sure if i should go with progressive springs or not and also not sure if i do if it makes any difference which way up they are Perhaps a different question? Has anybody fitted the Magicals and noticed a difference and if so better or not ?
  17. When fitting progressive springs which way up do they go ? tight wound coils to the top or the bottom ?
  18. Just buy the complete unit already modified ready to fit from Harry Stannistreet. He will need your old basket btw.
  19. As the title hints i am looking to purchase some s/s jubilee clips for the inlet manifold coupler on the Bantam project but all i can find locally are std Jubilee ones and they are too wide because space is at a premium like everything on a bantam i need to get some narrow ones approx 8mm or 9mm width. Any ideas ?
  20. I dont disagree with any of the above. Will say i have had Betors on all my bikes and the ones on the James are 5 years old dont leak and i've never bent one yet. Perhaps i'm not trying hard enough ? My question is how much would it cost to have a pair of Falcons or Rockshocks rebuilt if you bent one as i have heard rumours its about the same as buying a new pair of Betors. Just wondered if anyone has had a pair rebuilt and knows the cost ?
  21. Ive shared the photo to the Cotton owners page on Facebook but when i try to use the link you included it doesnt seem to work for me. Ive told them to contact Hants police if anyone recognises it. Is that correct?
  22. The Peak Classic Trials Club are holding round 11 of their 2016 Club Championship at Stathams Quarry opposite Matlock Golf Club on the main Tansley to Chesterfield road. Start time as usual is 11.00. Expert, Classic Expert, Intermediate, Classic Intermediate and Clubman routes. Classes for British bikes, Pre 85 twinshocks, Pre 95 Air Cooled Monos, Forgotten era and over 50's on moderns. Stathams quarry is an old disused sandstone quarry and i was down there starting to lay out the course and i can confirm that even after the recent heavy rain and storms the course is almost unaffected and the ground is mostly dry so a great days sport is there for the taking on Sunday. See you there
  23. If you want an example of this just look at Spain. The cost of their licenses etc will take your breath away.
