Cheers Steve, I'm going to try the innertube thing too..."cause hopefully it will stop my kick start rattling against the exhaust..AND cure the leak.
I've tried silicon, and fatter O rings inside the exhaust, and it still leaks alot.
I'll let you know how I get on with the innertube!
-
Does the innertube not melt on the exhaust??....I guess not otherwise you would have removed it.
I hope it Does NOT...'cause I'd like to try that with my Rev 3 which ALWAYS leaks at that joint.
-
Thanks Spencey and MadAlec...
This will all be very helpfull!!!....particularly fork seal sizes. They are so cheap here, its nice to go and get them, and have them ready before taking the old ones out.
Cheers again
-
Thanks both...
Yep..sorry I did mean 1987!!
ANyone know how much fork oil should go in them...(and..even better..what size the fork seals are??...be great to go and buy them, before taking them out)

Hi all,
My mate's just bought a 1997 Fantic 303 249cc
We have absolutely NO information on it. Could anyone let us know the fluid levels.
i.e. How much fork oil, How much gearbox oil, correct fuel/2T mix.
Thanks in advance for any help!!
-
Sorry all...
I guess the attatchment thingy was far too difficult for me...I'm such a technophobe...and so now..you've all got the worlds biggest crappest picture that probably took AGES to downlaod...
SORRY
-
Hi all.......Now here is a GOLDEN opportunity to have a laugh at someone else's expense.
If my attatchment works, you should see a piccy of me and my mate changing the gearbox oil on his recently aquired Sherco 2.9 Yr.2000
NOW...after you've stopped laughing...can someone tell us the EASY way to get the oil out??
ALso..it would be great if someone can tell us the fluid levels...i.e. fork oil, gearbox oil, coolant, correct fuel/2T mix....since we dont have a manual.
CHEERS...(and stop laughing!!)

My wife and I are even thinking of trying to settle in that area of Spain...so might try and look at some property whilst we are there for the world round.
I will try to check out accomodation in Lena as well...thanks for all your advice
-
Thank you trialero.
SO..do you think Leon would be the best place to find accomodation??
Do you know if I have to get tickets in advance to watch the world round??
Many thanks if you can answer me
-
Thanks to Jake Miller and Andy and everyone else for that GREAT slide show of Dougie.
AND lets not forget..to be at the top of any sport is almost impossible for us normal folk to imagine how hard that is. AND to stay there is even harder still. I'm certain Dougie CAN stay at the top...good luck Dougie for the outdoor!!

Marky G
If you dont mind..keep us posted on how you get on with your new bike..we are thinking of getting a couple over here in Hong Kong...but might wait a bit first....(looks REALLY good)
-
Exactly what I was wondering Marky G....and where is it going??...obviously something you couldn't sort out yourself??
-
Thats exactly what I thought Dabster...but I thought I'd e-mail them anyway...just for fun....must have been bored I guess!!!...I also thought that they MIGHT just say something like MAYBE we will do an anniversary model.
Ah well...whatever
-
Thats exactly what I thought Matt.
Mind you...dont want to encourage them too much else they might end up like a certain Italian road bike company that seems to make a limited edition..or "special" about twice every year!!
Joking aside though...I would love to see a special 100th anniversary edition...OR a four stroke...and I'm very surprised that they said they have no plans for either!
-
Hi Folks...
I e-mailed the factory a few days ago (BETA)...to ask if they had any plans for a four stroke..OR an anniversary special model for their 100 years in 2005.
They replied to me VERY quickly and said there are absolutely NO plans for a four stroke OR a special 100th anniversary model for 2005.
I was quite surprised...just wondered what all you lot think??
Maybe they are still playing their cards close to their chest??
-
Just snapped of the little lump of metal that holds the spring on my side stand.
Of course I can get it welded but that might cost as much as buying a new one. DOes anyone have any ideas what a new one would cost??
OR...maybe i should just continue to lean it against a tree???
-
Hi wayneg..
Sorry I missed your reply of Feb 24th. Thanks for all that info...I will definately be checking out your friends web-site. I'd love to go trialing over there...but any biking holiday is better than sitting on a beach (if you ask me)...I think I'd even rather work than sit on a beach!!
Cheers again!!!

-
Thanks oceanvibe....that sounds like VERY interesting info.
I am hoping to go over to Spain this summer (PUerto Pajares) to see the WOrld round...and check out some other stuff while I'm there.
-
rob...
sorry...forgot to mention. For your Rev-3 wheel....why dont you try bvm-moto
Thats where I order all my bits for my Rev 3......and they always seem...fast/professional/reasonable.
-
umm..
good point dabster!! I guess I'd assumed they'd made a "somehow" quick release disc hanger or something. I've always had an overly fertile imagination. Its the bane of my life....anyway..if its 300 quid...I WONT be getting one. It definately IS better to just turn your tyre around!!!
