  1. I am sure I seen a topic like this before but after an hour of search I gave in I was out yesterday on my 2007 sherco and the tick over was going very strange, as usual turns out to be water in the carb. After taking the mudgard off for the frist time (its new)I was shocked at the design of the air box, there is no way the water could avoid going into the sponge, it was crazy . after removing the sponge to my horror the was a massive puddle of water in the box. (It wasnt sunk or anything just water from the moors/burns). I thought the taping of the two holes on the side was supposed to stop that. so is there any way around the problem? and is it a good idea to drill a small hole in the air box for water to escape the box? cheers john
  2. big tyres maybe from tracktors/diggers are great practise especialy when wet. fill the middle with stones to stop it moving, or to pile them up
  3. we usualy call it the "B masters" route up here
  4. I am trying to sell a bke on this site, there is a guy ,mariogrima@yahoo.com, who wants to send me a
  5. Hello, I bought a 125 sherco 07 on saturday and firstly i would like to say i love it. before I had a gasgas pro, the sherco makes the pro feel sluggish and huge, as soon as I went on it I had to have it.would reccomed to any youth in look of a more powerful bike (there is no need to change to a 200 or 250) these bikes realy have guts all through the rev spectrum (ps I weigh abought 9st 7lb or 60 kg) Before this, the gasgas got a quick hose after every ride, chain lubricated and left in shed. the air filter was cleaned every 3 weeks(5 or 6 rides) this along with gear box oil change and a general luberication. if something broke or was worn, it was replaced. Some people have told me to a sherco will requre much more mantinence, a spray with silicone or WD40 (all over) after every cleaning(ie every ride) plus what was done above. The question is, is this true and what else should i be doing, is there any problems that happen to these bikes oftenly that I should keep an eye on cheers john
  6. is it definately coolant water, maybe it is burn water. check your gaskets, mine was replaced wrongly before i got it. now the problem is sorted.
  7. do you know what lubricates the main engine bearings in an 06/07 sherco (I know it is oil) but is it the two stroke oil or gearbox oil
  8. A friend of mine bought raptors (titanium) they snapped in the second burn. they proper snapped aswell, not the hangers. waste of a lot of money.
  9. my bike which is exactly the same also does this. the clutch plates vibrate against each other, there is nothing you can realy do. but there is absolutely no mechanical problem whith your bike(going on what i have read). a mates bike 07 gasgas also done this when bought brand new(it was the first time the bike ever ran), it is possibly supposed to do this, or possibly poor design but there is nothing to worry about.a change of gearbox oil can often dampen the sound(for a few hours)
  10. is there much of a reduction in weight
  11. I had the same problem I recon it is the bushings (probably the lower one) will need replaced if so, bearings may also be a bit loose too
