  1. hi there tony well the frame number is totally different because someone told me it was a john shirt model as i have discused in the other topic i would like to think that there wasn't some thing sinister going on here but i may never know.
  2. no the frame numbers dont really match either i just seems a little strange to me that if someone was going to tamper with the numbers they would make it so obvious if, i was going to do it i would keep them close to the original format but anyway i dont any of the history of the bike just that the frame is just like a majesty. thanks for your reply anyway .
  3. hello there thanks for the reply the bike isn't road reg take a look at this i also have some issues wiyh the frame number as well it also doesn't match any thing , as i said earlier there is a pic of this bike on the majesty tank topic check it out .

    Majesty Tank?

hi there yam fans i have just purchased a ty250 twinshock , and i thought it was a standard ty but on checking the frame numbers i have been told it is a john shirt model but the tank is just like a standard ty am i right in thinking that some majesty's had a standard tank? . most ones i have seen have the coffin shaped type any help would be appreciated . thanks ZARKOFF.
  9. hi there you could try some chemical metal ( i can here people cringing allready!!) it's worth trying, and you have got nothing to lose if it dont work. just depend's on wether you would be happy with a temporary repair.
  10. hi not ron i would agree with woody i own a fraser honda ( see fraser honda) and for quite a while i didn't know what the engine size was . well i have just had to replace the final drive oil seal so it was a good chance to measure the engine. my engine has a ally plate on the bottom of the cylinder and when i measured it it was 74mm x 71 so it has the bore of a 250 and the crank out of a 350 about the same cc as a bored out 250 but it is a longer stroke i would imagine the two would be very different to ride although they have the same cc's hope this helps . zarkoff.
  11. hi there does anyone know how to service rear marzocchi's i have been told that you used to be able to get repair kits so any info would be most appreciated thanks.
  12. hi there i would just like to add to this speculation about the engine i think it is a rs 250 engine my brother in law had one back in the 80's a road bike with a twin port engine.

    Fraser Honda

hi sutty when you say coffin tank do you mean like the one on my bike it is basicaly a TL tank all the other fraser's seem to have the tank built into the frame, it look's like there must have been quiet a bit of experimentation going on where these bike's where made, which probably make them more unique. would be interested to see some pics. cheers ZARKOFF

    Fraser Honda

hi there sutty yes square down tube and also square swinging arm chromed sound's like a fraser there are a few pics on the honda trials site which are bike's based on 185 honda engines i would be interested to see some pics. cheers zarkoff.
  20. hi PeterB thanks for your reply i did once change the oil in some marzocchi's about 20 years ago but as you get older the grey cells go a bit thanks any way. oh i seem to remember mixing different weight oils also but that is something else i cant remember. cheers anyway zarkoff.
  21. hello there does anyone know how much oil you would put in my marzocchi forks these are the one's fitted to my 1980's armstrong (twinshock).I think some early SWM's used the same forks any help would be appreciated . thanks

    Fraser Honda

hi there brian the weight of the bike it feels quite heavy when riding, maybe because it is quit high, but when lifting onto my trailer it dosen't feel any heavier than my 320 armstrong i would imagine it is lighter than a standard tl250 thanks zarkoff
