  1. There is a huddersfield falcon club...http://www.falconmcc.co.uk/ and they are holding a trial on sunday at crossland moor, I won't be there but these guys are great and really helpful, just pop along and have a look, and while you are there try and grab a go on someones bike.
  2. http://jalbum.net/browse/user/album/109770/ This link takes you to Sunday's Hillsborough Club Championship photo's - the website does have previous trials plus Barnsley, Hudd falcons, BSSA etc etc
  3. Unlucky there, I had 6 months off recently from braking my wrist. If you ever feel you are loosing interest in trials while you are injured just go and watch or obeserve a trial and you will see what you are missing. It soon makes you want to jump back on you bike again.
  4. No i doubt it, been told this by a few people now. I have put my name down for one!!!
  5. I talked to the rathmells today, they said they hope they will cost the same as the current bikes but a definate price will be given in september and they should be unveiled at the tdn in september. I was also told the first few will be here by end of november/early december.
  6. More understandable details on mrs website... http://www.malcolmrathmellsport.com/index.htm
  7. It looks a wee bit fat in places although I am sure on the real pics it will look a dam site better. It is very interesting with all these upgrades. I have been promised one of these as I am due a bit of an update so I am getting excited
  8. I too am from sheffield, there are lots of clubs around here so try to get yourself to a meet and see what the crack is, and while you are there try and bag a go on someones bike. This comeing sunday there is a trial at ughill, bradfield. Run by the hillsborough club, it i think will be signposted from the strines road or from malin bridge.
  9. Can you get a shock reconditioned? I mean the olle shock that is standard as i cant find a second hand one at the moment. If so is there anywhere local to sheffield?
  10. Anymore info on these? I have been told that the first batch will be arriving in November time and thay will have a new chassis.
  11. I've changed my mind, from those photos in the flesh it looks rather poor, and in some places looks suprisingly heavy somehow and tacky. Think I will stick with sherco again this year thankyou. EDIT: Check out trials uk for some prices.
  12. I put it right yesterday and today I went out on it and it rode as sweet as a nut! Thanks for all your help guys.
  13. I may have found a thing that could cause it, it seems to add up. A few weeks ago I disasembled the throttle cable bit next to the carb. Well I may have put it back together wrong, you see i put the needle on top of the gold piece instead of underneath, so this would mean the needle could stick up when the slide is down causing problems. I hope this is the problem as it is a nice cheap fix
  14. Anybody got any weird and wonderful ideas I could try before I give up on it?
  15. No that didn't work, looks like I am gunna miss the trial tommorrow.
  16. Wow that is lovely, it has made me consider getting a new gas gas in stead of sherco.
  17. I have not been out yet. Im goin in about soon if i get the chance.
  18. It wasn't that!!! So now I have a new/working stator plate in, will try and get out tommorow for testing and will update then.
  19. Right today I made sure the woodruff key was ok and it was, talked to someone in the know and they said that it is not so likely to be the stator plate because if it was electronical it would not be intermittent. Now today I took the tank off and thought I would give it a good going over so I emptied it out. Now before I cleaned the tap/filter but forgot to think that when I turned the tank all the petrol would wash most of the muck away. So rather embarrassingly I found a whole load of crappy bits of mud in there and to my suprise a big clump of off cut/shaving of plastic (tank plastic probably from when it was made) so I cleared it out and will try and getr out and test it tommorow. If that fails I am going to borrow someones stator plate. Also this may explain why it was intermittent because sometimes it would get through and when it was possibly shaken up it may not. I hope it is fixed as it will finally be done and be cheaper.
  20. Just ride with it if it is floppy or whatever, who cares what your bike looks like so long as it works and you enjoy yourself. Although saying that I have a bike that is frigged which makes me not enjoy myself
  21. Today at the trial I got to the first section, walked round and was next in line in the que when it sort of burbled. Tried as best I could but I packed in and ended up observing. I think i am gonna get it taken to someone/shop who know more what to do as I am all out of ideas. Apart from someone said it could be the woodrut key?
  22. Today I had the killswitch off but no difference. Had the flywheel off and it and the stator was all mucky so I cleaned it all up but there was no difference. Tried someone elses CDI unit but no difference. So i got myself down to b+q and bought myself a heat gun. Got home and made myself a jet engine with the muff to clean all the gunk out. I'm leaving it to settle over night and it will be rebuilt tommorow. So i will post up woth how i get on.
  23. It sounds about right although maybe drop the front down a bit to 5.
  24. So can a bike be run if i just remove it?
