  1. Hello All, i have no ide who will win as i dont even know who is entered! but i am really looking forward to... My first trip to scotland watching some great trials My first ever "lads" trip with my old man (only taken 33 years) and maybe meeting some of you guys!! so what pub do we meet in and what do we wear to identify our selves??
  2. Hi all, thanks for replies. Im in development stage - will post back when i have more news
  3. Go old school and ride like my Dad (he has been riding 50 trials!!) - no clutch used at all. Get the Jet set up right and learn a whole new way of riding, i was trying it the other week - its so hard not to go fro a little slip of the lever
  4. Hello all - anyone ridden here before? is it alright? also i am in ACU but not a member of B'stoke club will i get a ride?? cheers Dan
  5. "Yes" Gear was always for BMX's when i were a lad (mid 80's)
  6. RDChair is right. the good thing about 315's is that, as they hardly changed over the years, if you find a well looked after early one it's like getting a later one and great VFM. You just have to bide your time and find a good 'en. What would you pay more for... an average/bit tatty 05 or a mint 99 with lots or receipts? given that, bar the forks and breaks, they are pretty much the same bike (i think!) Mine is a 99 and i paid
  7. I just did a change and used bel-ray as recomended by Gordon Farley. It seemed great at the start of the trial. After 5 hours of riding i'm sure i detected a tiny rattle and it was a bit stiff shifting (with my hand - can notice through my bloody great size 11's) I dont know if that was the oil or something i had just not noticed before
  8. depends on condition really about

Hi mate - i didnt count the links i just laid it down next to the old chain
  10. Hey all I just wanted to say what a brilliant trial North Hants put on yesterday. I have never ridden the D1 area of Bagshot Heath (have done a few D2's which is good to). It such a great bit of land with sections on big pine tree lined hills in the woods, weaving through boggy marshes or big drop off and climbs up sandy, pebbly hills and gullys. What was also great was that in between teh sections you got have really good long ride across big open, undulating grass and heath land. In in the sunshine yesterday it was like being in "any given sunday"! I was riding the easier sportmans route but that still offered lots of challenges and everyone seemed to be enjoying the sections/routes they were riding. The only let down was that someone in a BMW drove into my bike rack and bent the tow bar, with out leaving a note - it did leave a nice ding on their bumper though! (they had parked behind me after the start at i noticed the damage at lunch, but had left by the time i finished) Anyhooom... a brilliant day thanks all involved! Anyone else on here ride in it?? what did you think? Dan (riding a 315r with my Dad on a sweet little TY175)
  11. CHeers TT - sounds about right, although from what i remember - it looked like it WAS out of the sleeve and i (thought!) that i had put it back. "if it aint broke, dont fix it" springs to mind
  12. Thanks you very much for the feed back. You will be remembered. Interesting that you would want them in black, i hadn't really considered that, perhaps i'm a bit to 'Blingy" I was thinking Red Gold Polished Ally So lads what colours would you be interested in - if you were in them market for them Black Red Gold Plain All Anodised
  13. Does no-ne think these are worth pursuing? or just not replying. 120 readers! Come on lads give us a clue! The first 5 to particpate will get half price if i proceed with this little idea!
  14. I guess you are joking - but can you elaborate - what should i look out for? Cant wait for teh clocks to go back - does my head in having to wait until Saturday to look at/work on teh bike. (no leccy in garage)
  15. Sunday will see to that! If i can sort out the throttle return - since i pout it back together its seems to stick open. I seem to remember buggering around with a cable shroud by teh Carb though, so hopefully that is it.
  16. Hey all did some work on the old 315 on Saturday - http://www.facebook.com/photo_search.php?o...mp;id=557061852
  17. No-one yet, i'm going to get a set made up and am wondering about getting a few done and seeing if there is much interest in them via the bay. Just doing a bit of market research! Not trying to sell or advertise on the forum - Promise!!!
  18. If i was to say that some very nice front and rear sprocket guards, anodised in Red or Gold were soon to be come available would you guys be interested?
  19. Not sure what you want to use it for but as they are Mono shocks i would think you are better off getting an early 315 as its a much more modern machine - should be able to get one for around
  20. Anyone know what the format for this is? i ride here in North Hants MCC trials What is different from a normal trial? - it seems very expensive at
  21. 2009 Pathfinder 3-Stage Trial Sunday, 5th April at Training Area D1, The Maultway, Bagshot. Anyone know what the format for this is? its all on private land so would use my mont. what is different from a normal trial? - it seems very expensive at
  22. Thanks Sam, i was getting excited then but i think i will probably be doing the North Hants Trial on Bagshot Heath that day. Where will i find the regs for "Cheltenham Homeguard Sphinx" when they come out as i will still have a look and then decide. Thanks everyone for your advice and help - this forum is great
  23. Thanks for all the info chaps, definately going to look into doing one this year. Sounds like such an adventure!
