  1. As dibs is out of contract at year end he could be pictured signing a new contract, riding or promoting wouldnt be possible.
  2. Dadoff I dispute your anecdotal evidence and theories based on JTX thats 15 years ago for crissake. To dismiss Dougies choice of bike regardless of time spent on it is to do an injustice to the great mans integrity. He had a failure on another brand at the scott and chose a gasser instead in most peoples minds that would count for something. you also seem to be missing the fundamental point that if your argument held any real truth why is the gasser the most popular bike. Is everyone of these riders wrong and youre right?
  3. They do have a habit of saying this and that, before its a fact. My take is that at a lovely big show in Milan if you had a top rider signing wouldnt that be the place to do it?
  4. I dont know why you keep banging on and on and on with your slating of the gas gas. Whilst no one doubts your gangs experiences these are anecdotal and totally unsubstantiated or objective. Many many more have had far more good experiences than bad. If and its a big if they were even close to your supposed suggestion of not being any good why would so may, Dougie lampkin 7 times world champ included (when he had the choice of any bike this year as out of contract) choose a GG in scotland. Recently there have been notable failures of 4rt's up there so nothing is infallable. just a small suggestion dont go out in Buxton after dark will you.
  5. Yep snapped my tendons in an old shoulder injury. Bike was fine rider not. assumed you would bottle it when i called your bluff.....
  6. that 2002 pro was trouble and possibly for a few years after, but its 10 years on from that now. happy to lend you my bike for a trial anytime see if it lets you down!
  7. Vat europe wide is very close except hungary where its 27%, so what do you mean?
  8. Yes lets do the 3 day next year then.
  9. I think the question above relates to the later bikes, so follow dads advice buy a GASSER!
  10. I'm not sure that an opinion based on a 2001 bike is that relevant?
  11. As jtg and ossa are selling in such small numbers I doubt it will make any difference to them at all, the pricing of the vertigo will dictate sales levels as much as anything. if its 4000 they would probably outsell many others if reliable. if its 8000 it will struggle to outsell jtg and ossa
  12. I tried a 4rt and never really did get to feel like it was "my bike". Ive had 7 gassers and even when Ive had a problem usually minor its been sorted quickly under warranty.
  13. Unquestionably you are in the minority otherwise the trials countrywide would be flooded with 4rt's. It aint. Reliability isnt an issue on modern bikes if properly maintained and ridden in clubman sections. To say that your scores would be the same says more about the sections and your ability than anything about the bikes, do not get the two mixed up.
  14. Well said Huski the ty analogy is very much the truth.
  15. are they put together in luton or made there?
  16. Yes dinosaur. And luddite. Trials manufacturing has always been about tech development right from the conversion of road going bikes through Sammys input at bultaco through the adaptation of monoshocks water cooling and disc brakes, all of which produce the very lightweight efficient and reliable bikes we now have. your comments above regarding gas gas gearboxes are neolithic, the current ones are very reliable and of the 7 gg ive owned ive yet to have one fail. technology has provided me with something I want a lightweight machine, and this is replicated across the country every brand every week. This vertigo goes another step along that route and gives us a light version, and then a lighter one! The customer can choose and the sales numbers will be a good test of your ridiculous heavier is better theory? I would also respectfully suggest that if the majority of people agreed with your theories then the 4rt would have an expansive dealer network and an active importer promoting a good product cos the sales are there.
  17. I wish a change in rules either one way or another would rescue our sport but feel its much deeper than that. Whilst baldilocks is being sarcastic it probably will be better for the french to have stop allowed in all honesty thats how they want it and how they set out there trials.
  18. Very honest, some wouldnt have mentioned it.
  19. bit of a witches promise if you ask me
  20. Agreed great system, well done acu
