a bike has to have noise it's just not right without, if this is the way thing's are going i will have to go back to wedging a tin can on the back wheel like on my bmx as a kid.
-
Thanks i was at the last section but had to go before he got there(kids were fed up they dont share my passion yet) i watched him through surrender and whaw bridge that's a cracking ride well done, whoever won thats the stand out ride for me. but well done to all the riders and richmond motorclub it must be a nightmare to organise a event like that please keep up the good work. i must also ask the observers how do you manage, it looks a bit hectic at times.

cheers cota all the place has missing is a huge hill climb other than that bang on and well out the way too so no noise moans. I noticed you were fed up about the boro score too so do you originate from these parts mate.
bikespace that caddy breezed through its last mot it will out last les that thing, he still has a few bikes kicking about too he has a ariel that belonged to rob edwards in better nick than the caddy, hes lending me a tiger cub to do the blue bar on next year, should be different?
-
does anyone know if mark sunter finnished on the bulto, thats the ride of the trial if he did. and do you think fugi will be back next year, might drag his team mate along too.

One day a Jew, a Hindu, and a Makem all arrived at their hotel to find that there had been a mix-up with the bookings, and that there was only one room left for them to share. The manager explained that this room only had two beds, but that there was a barn at a neighbouring farm which the farmer, an old friend of his, would let one of them sleep in free of charge.
They complained a bit, but since there was nowhere else to go, the Jew graciously said he'd sleep in the barn. The Hindu and the Makem were just settling down to sleep in their room, when there was a knock on the door. It was the Jew.
'I'm sorry,' he said, 'but there's a pig in that barn and because I'm Jewish I feel uncomfortable about sharing the barn with it.' 'No problem,' said the Hindu. 'I'll sleep out there instead.' So off he went to the barn, leaving the Makem and the Jew to share the room.
They were just settling down to sleep, when there was a knock on the door.
It was the Hindu. 'I'm sorry,' he said, 'but there's a cow in that barn and because I'm a Hindu I feel uncomfortable about sharing the barn with it.'
The Makem grudgingly agreed to give up his bed and stomped off to the barn leaving the Jew and the Hindu to share the room. The Jew and the Hindu were just settling down to sleep, when there was a knock on the door.
It was the cow and the pig.

i think your mam and dad live near my uncle les near lauren beat. if you do get over here for a trial guisbrough do a cracking 1 lapper adult only because of road work but takes in experts inters and clubmen a/b entered it this year and will be there again next. 40 sections(36 for club b ) and about 40 miles of fairly easy run, 2 petrol stop's, really good event well organised with choc bar and drink at punch card change and food at the end all in the entry fee i would of paid the entry just for the run between section 2 & 3. if guisbrough dont mention it on here i will it deserves a full house. fantastic trial.
-
i can post pictures now i think lets give it a go a bit late i know but have a look for next year this is the scotland farm stream
-
no problem bikespace if your ever coming up this way and want to know whats on give me a shout i'll find out for you. if you want next year,s events calander for east yorks when it comes out let me know if you can send me an address wiithout everyone getting it that is i will post you one off. do you still have family up this way? just had a look at the hand book it is a center championship but it say's trial all class's so not sure about c-class just in case you do make it.
-
Unnecessary delay is a grey area and one I would like someone to clear up with a definite idea of it
-
it's probably too early to say this will kill trial's off. but at least now the rules are clear. i usually set up sections with turns that can be made without hopping if riden well and will continue to do so. but some riders hop for hoppings sake. one problem people seem to have with this is the extra time some riders will take in sections but you can put time limits on them and a rider can be requested to leave the section due to unnecessary delay so if you have them hopping about all over the place maybe a quick " howay mate we havent got all day" might just get the message across.
-
we are sorting out when we can get up there phil i will get in touch with you when we know cheers. hull have a trial on sunday bikespace it's at rockhouse, near rosedale it's a center championship round i think. i have never riden there but obsereved for the colonial there look's a cracking venue some huge rock's.
-
Thanks vicky im just glad everyone enjoyed it cracking bit of land that place. now just make sure i get a ride in the colonial next year i will be a first timer so i hope your dad goes easy on virgins . Thanks to all the observers(your priceless) and riders who turned out for what was a great trial. and a big thankyou to phil teasdale for all the help over the weekend your a top bloke cheers. vic boys next another easy one! see you all there. paul

the trial due to be held at lazenby on October 12th has been moved to Scotland farm instead. after the trial at Scotland farm on sep 6th was canceled due to torrential rain we have managed to get the venue for our October 12th trial as it is too good a venue too miss. the trial will be three laps of twelve sections (observers permitting) and will consist of duel sections for experts inters and clubmen a/b sorry no youths. so lets hope the weather holds and we can have a cracking trial if you can bring an observer with you please do so. Scotland farm is off the osmotherly to snailsworth road and will be flagged in from both directions and would be a good warm up trial for the Scott. clubmen don't let that put you off its just as good for us as the experts. hope to see you there. ta Paul
-
cheers Perce if you could send the info that would be great. i have a seamstress in the family who could nock a rough one up and if they work well we would order a few. are the single strap the type that comes down across the chest? do you think they would be able to add a chest tightener on the double strap like you get on the bigger ruck sack's. and thanks Mick will give that a try too.

while setting out trial's the bag's we use for the course markers are useless flop about all over fall off my shoulders and on steep down hill's the flags usually fly straight over my head and land in a heap on the floor im sure im not the only one to have this problem. so if anyone know's of a bag that does the job or a design that seems to work well we can get them made up easily enough.the bags we use at present are self made of a square shape fairly deep and wide fine when full but half empty total sh**e. the course markers we use are about 3ft in length and made with bamboo canes. the lads who use them are of vairying size's from me 11 stone soaking wet (more mr bean than mr universe) to the slightly bigger lads 15 stone say. so if you have any solutions to this ploblem or found any thing that work's it would be great if you could help.
-
some how cant see haslam and camier going as fast as they were at croft the other week but still should be interesting. with some of the names riding this year i will have to come and watch where is a good place to go.
-
hello peter nipper is still a bench mark for us lesser club men i have beat him once and was chuffed to bit's. them orange overalls match his bike perfect you can see him coming from a mile off not before you can hear him on that tiger cub like. the foulkes lad is ray good rider he is the son of ralph that will be the one you know he still helps us set out and clean up the cleveland and vic boys the best in the buisness at that and a really nice bloke to boot.not sure about garbut but there was a fred garbut round about your time who is saddly no longer with us. and im not sure about dale there was bill dale who helped us out but again saddly he passed on too he used to clear up on the vic boys also on his own once which is not easy. its good to see you dont get the restrctions over there that we get here we have to tread very carefully at times and its not like there's not enough countryside for us all to enjoy. saying that i have been getting to a lot more trials this year and we do have some cracking land in these parts. keep a eye on the m/bro web site we are going to try get some more pictures on it too so hope you enjoy them.
see ya paul
-
m/bro motor club web site can be a pain to find so heres the link to it to see the trials pictures click in the flickr tag at the bottom of the page. results can be picked up on the site too.
m/bro dmc web site
cheers paul

hi peter like steve said he flooded that bit for fishing the fishermen were ok really the shooter's on the other hand were a different story. but dont worry i understand its to far for you to come. but what i have seen of nz you have the best patch. i watched lord of the rings and thought sod the hobbits i want to take my bike there looks awsome.
-
forgot to say any riders planning on doing the eyc 2 day this would be a good warm up trial. and if you are a fairly new rider dont be put off by that the clark of the course is top notch and puts on great trials for all abilities and the stream inbetween sections can be made as hard or as easy as you please you will see what i mean when you ride it. the loss of woodhouse farm was a bit of a bugger but i would never trade it for scotland farm not in a million years it's far superior.
-
too right its worth the travel. the rocky stream (3 meters wide in places with rocks of all sizes all over the place) is what trials bike's were made for. if you have not been before please come you will not be disappointed and will return. there will be some nice cold cans of beer lager and coke for sale at the bbq after, you will of earned it lads and dont worry if you dont finnish it all im sure i can polish it off. and remember as well as it being a cracking new venue its for a good cause you never know if you might need that air ambulance yourself one day. so get there gent's/lady's it will be a belter and worth a bit of a travel trust me. and if you can bring an observer CLASS.
HOPE TO SEE YOU THERE. PAUL WRIGHT
