  1. actually scratch that I now remember that i didnt see you at the witmore lake event..... Ahhhh screw it I will have on too! In the future tell me up front if your miserable..... Randy! I had a blast at witmore lake..... -Biff over and out
  2. Hey Chris, I think your talking about the flint trials.... WTF? First off it rained the day before. I know because i tried to ride it all in for you guys in the rain.... Second off i think it was the first event in mota this year that no rider and i repeat NO rider had over 100 pts... Granted intermediate was a bit harder than some other events but again the top points were 89 and the low points were 20 in the sr class. that was our goal. Was it not fun? what can i do better for next years event???? I want to learn. I saw you at witmore lake this past weekend and nothing was stated to me. Come on man I dont mind the critisism but let me know and lets make it constructive. We built the box and tried to include you guys. we opend up lines and kept you off the hill becasue it becomes dangerous when wet.... If anybody had a desire to make it safe and enjoyable it was me.... I know i am not in the same level but i dont want to make it scary. Let me know specifics so i can improve next year..... Mota bent fenders rep on trials centeral next to zippy who probably doesnt want to get involved.... --BIFF!

    07 Gasgas

check it out http://www.gasgasmotos.es/web/esp/frame.htm click on trials and then on the link to the chassis break down. its all there. Sachs makes the shock..... boooo... --Biff
  4. You wont even recongnize flint. Both sections in the center of the flat track are changed. The one behind the house is totally different. The box section has been expanded into a mini meca. We have a new section at the top of the hill. If it rains we will have enough flat sections. You will have a blast. --biff
  5. Hey Sam, My dad John Knapp rides his greeves (all three) almost every day and competes in the ahmra premier lightweight. 74 years of age and I have beat him up about comming and riding a mota event. Some day some day.... --Biff
  6. NICE WORK! Thank you both very much! You both sent me in the correct direction. --Biff
  7. I am acutally posting this for my father who owns four greeves. Three all angelicans and a pioneer??? He rides AHMRA trials series. Either way he has an orginal 19" tire on one of the angelicans. His others were converted to 18" ers. He is trying to find a 19 incher without going to a knobby mx tire. After much surfing I am comming up with nothing. Preffereably not a cheng sheng. Any body know of 19 by 4.00's out there? Europeans do not hesitate to answer. He is located in New York. Thanks in advance --Biff
  8. I love a post that gets me doing research! First off the idea of one piece exhaust system with both mid and rear muffler as one got me thinking that this is a really bad idea. According to this website http://www.gasgasmotos.es/web/esp/frame.htm Click on Despiece Chasis / Motor 2007 (3,6 MB) Page 26 of this pdf shows that this is not true. Well I dont believe everything that i read. I cant tell you how many times i have seen a sherco crush a muffler or break a muffler assembly. I love my gasgas for the ability to repack. I am buying a pro soon and looking to strengthen the mid muffler which is a known weak point I heard somewhere that this mid muffler on the 07 was improved. I work for a large automotive company here in detroit on the technical hotline for dealerships. we get spanish people calling from mexico and i sat down with my intrupter <<SP??? for about an hour today researching. We could not confirm any info on the sachs shock. my txt has a sachs and i dont like it. Part of the pros strong point is the ohlins in my view but maybe gasgas knows something we dont. I was seriously considering an 07 but theres not a lot of info out there. I may just opt for a used 06 if much of this is true.... My main question is of weight. There are claims of lighter and ligher weight but every thing i read from gasgas directly claims 68 kg from 04 on up..... 06 claims 3lbs loss of weight with the front forks..... ooo aluminum! Wheres the reductoin in kilos??? If i am wrong please correct me. I am an engineer and I dig specs. Unfortunaltly most specs are in spanish and in metric.... thats ok I also dig metric.... US is lacking in the metric department. Thanks! --Biff I will wait till I can get into one before anything.
  9. Get a ratchet strap around the tire. Boil some water and pour it over the tire to soften it up. Works like a charm! Make sure that once the bead grabs you remove the ratchet strap. Montesa rims rule but unfortunately i also have to deal with leaking spokes. I personally use a bit of fix a flat in the tire and ride it as soon as its mounted. So far three tires and several flippings all has been sealed. --Biff I used wd40 once and spun the bead on rocks. You could acutall see the tire spinning on the rim.... not good. I probably used 3/4 of a can wresteling with the thing so most of that was my fault.
  10. five hours is close for us in this country.... Disney world is 18 hours away. Canada is 15 mins California is 36 hours and Boston is 17 hours from me here in detroit. I had vistors from findland two years ago and they wanted to take a day trip to the ocean 10 hours away..... hahahahahahahaha. 5 mins from my house is 600 acres of abandoned park in detroit.... Gotta love those burnt out cars. High traction.... -Biff
  11. Advertising is also ignored. Who went to Rhode Island? How many signs did you see pointing you in the right direction? No advertisements were plastered any where near any high way. Small loop markers were posted up. I thought that the RI trials club did a great job and if any of them read this i had a great time. I just didnt see any advertising. I must have talked to about four people at gas stations on how to get to the place. Locals 5 miles away knew nothing of this event. I personally feel that if you advertise and encourage spectators it would hit off huge. Make it accessable in the US. They can choose from there to watch nascar and sit on the couch or come and watch from there. -Biff
  12. Here here I agree! Markley if I ever move back to kalamazoo i am at your place every other day. Gooooo MOTA goooooo Trials INC -biff
  13. I ho and hummed about it but the simple answer is that I broke the budget with RI and I took a vacation the week before that. Basically no i wont be there. I really want to but I am going to opt to go to flint and work on my audi. Have fun dude! -Biff
  14. Yea! i finished!!!! On sunday half the sections were pretty much impossible for me and my minder but hey what can ya do. Here is a pick of him and me on #7 right before he got pulled down the pile of rocks, I proceeded to fly and do a cool tripple lutz and my exhaust caved in for like the twentyth time. I made it the first time much to my and most every one elses surprise. Bike is good enough to ride this weekend as well as my spirit! GOOOOOOOOO MICHIGAN and props to Waldo for his 2nd place saturday and for Brandenburg for beating me!
  15. No i goofed off all day. I needed some rocks to get ready for roade island and i wanted to save the bike. I lost to gilbert reed by one point! DOH! oh well. I had a blast. -Biff
  16. My roommate and myself went down to Newark ohio for the Trials Inc event on sunday.... Awesome property and great lay out guys! If your ever thinking of putting on another national and can get a bit more parking room I vote for holding one there. Boulders boulders boulders! Thanks again guys! -Biff
  17. Dont worry i would give the sherco back..... I dont need another project bike.... -Biff (mean while gasgas is sitting in the garage looking pretty ugly)
  18. Well its presently about 10 am saturday. I am here at work till about 4 or so... My handle bars are awesome but the muffler and other bits are not back from the welder yet. I may be up all night then leaving for ohio at 6am tomorrow but there is nothing in this world I would rather be doing. I never realized how wide my old bars were untill last night..... -Biff
  19. Zippy, I got it man! Me and you going on PINKS. You know that show on Speed vision where you race for pinks. In stead of racing we are.... Well do i need say more!?!?! Gasgas versus sherco.... epic battle! Oh man i think that would be really cool. Get up on that bus! Launch across the creek with out swimming in it.... hahaha... Just an idea for yet another venue!
  20. Yesterday I just broke my bars and tore open my exhaust. I should have it ready for this weekend but if i dont I appologize in advance. Hope to see ya there Biff
  21. zippy i think your forgetting that shefield 99 indoor tape i showed you that time. that was a big crash off of that roll. Personally i think the x games would be a great idea. The other week on abc's "masters and champions" it was very impressive. However i love trials and have an appreciation for what these people can do. Tv does not give it perspective. My question is how is golf such a big hit here in the states? tv does not give that perspective either. I think the answer lies in people who play golf can appreciate it on tv. The same thing can be stated about trials. Not many people have access to trials. Most people know what it is. They have seen it on TV... How many times have any of you been asked if that is one of those "rock hoppin bikes" at the gas station? They know it. They just didnt know it was in their own back yard.
  22. BM Will you be riding this weekend comming up. the roommate and i were thinking about comming down for sunday. Look for biff and his gasgas. Biff
  23. I am manufacturing rocks for you aaron! You about killed me at your place so now i have a goal.... Hahahahahahah -Biff
  24. You can fit a lot of stuff in to this trialer now. All of what you see less the trees and dust.
  25. I wanted to do the exact same thing two years ago. Last winter I went to the local auto parts store Pep boys and bought myself 129 dollar special box. Make sure you get the one that fully flips up ie full length box. I removed my center rail and then had to modify the box slightly to fit. It was about an inch too long. With a little finesse from my friend mr hammer she fits fine! I bolted the center rail back down to the top of the box and sealed it up with some silicone. She is water tight. I have towed three bikes on the trialer quite often but i mainly use the center rung for my bicycle and cooler. We went to Oaklahoma (17.5 hours one way) with the miata minder two bikes and a huge cannopy.... Then we did it all over again to tennesse. The box about quadruples the miatas storage room (my ride of choice for long trips). Check it out behind the muddy Montesa. While your at it get some cool rims too. I will go home and get some more pics later. -Biff
