  1. Looks a great ride just to get up to your bike stand, bet old Arthur would say "Iye, we had that bloody climb i't 63 scottish, tha lot now is bloody soft"
  2. That seat and a tube of hemorrhoidal ointment should get you through the week old man
  3. I wondered how long it would take to get round to that
  4. Get thi sens up to Fort William in may, the word is we will see more than one brand of four stroke machine and larger capacity than the 125's of last year, trying to prove their salt against each other and the two strokes. We see all the brand loyalty of my bike your bike, now we can add my two your four in the mix, the last time the two and four stroke machines competed in full battle for the world championship, trials was a lot more interesting than it is now.
  5. I ride with the MSR gortex pac jack, bit spendy but well worth it, I bought mine for the 98 ssdt and ridden many otheR events and practice, still like new, other stuff just makes me sweat too much on the moor.
  6. Only thing is!! I hope the wife doesn't want ter use her horse saddle, some sad buggers whipped off wi some of the straps
  7. Timp, I was just trying it this past couple of days to see if it would work, because in 02 my back was killing me, so far I spent a couple of hours riding stream sections with it on, the main reason for it is long moor crossings but if you are down on time and need to kick-on it is not any problem to keep it on to ride the section, as they say 2 min/sec is an hour at the end of the day.
  8. Riding long moor crossing or hard trail wearing a tool belt, bum bag, fanny pack, it beats the heck out of my back, but using a back pack makes my shoulders hurt. So I done some testing! with all the tools and spare tube in my bum bag I used in the 02 Scottish, I tried a way of fitting it to the bike, without doubt the way I synched it on with a leather strap with small hooks on each end for quick attachment works well. It's fast to put on and take off, it works well as a seat, it doesn't get in your way at all, it didn't move riding sections and worse case if the strap broke I would just have to put the belt on.
  9. Just posted to this topic so it would come back to the top of the pile, as possible clues to FBD are hidden in the words and pictures.
  10. I saw one the other day that gives you a free CD of your photos when you get it developed, $12 not bad and thanks for the memories, then it's easy to post that embarrassing moment to TC, when B.C. goes &rse over ti7 in some remote bog
  11. See your in lurk mode Kinnel, did you hit the beckoil today?, I will in about another hour.
  12. Did you play the music along with the video steve? I thought the same, you want to be there.
  13. Kinnel, thas not hauling that load er **** around if tha's banner be coming round wi me, all tha needs is a plastic bag and couple er quid.
  14. Never expected there to be, just off for the fun thought it would be cool following team woftam thru the week, the top guns will get all the coverage anyway, but TC could get some interest just from folk seeing how the sad team is doing.
  15. I don't know Andy, does the reserve list get published in order along with the rider list, if so it wouldn't be hard to tell if Perce had an half decent chance of still getting a ride. And do you know somthing I don't?
  16. Can't bin thi tabs Kinnel, when your out in the middle of Rannoch in tears! they are the only comfort you will have left if you have never had a cig in your life you will be a chain smoker by wednesday it will be like one of them movies were the indians burry the coboy up'T neck to torture him, but they give him his ciggarelo as a last wish, in your case your up'T neck in a peat bog and I'm p****** mi sen laughing at you saying "like hell I'm going in ther, but I'll toss thi a tab"
  17. Posted!!! Highland lassie was playing the who is FBD on live chat last night No winners so the competition carries over for another week
  18. FfffffKinell Kinell, if thi gets the entry thi wants, take your bike to John Lampkin and ask for Griffo to set it up for the Scottish for you a week afore thi goes, trust me it el be brass well spent
  19. I talked to our lad after I posted the topic starter John, he says John goes swimming in a morning, and they ride ripper bikes on a Sunday, but this time of year when I called in the past they were always riding an event or two and going up to Wilky's to practice getting ready for the six day, less you do, the less you want to do, got to keep going once you stop you die. Martin, took on one hell of a task and second career with Doug, but he looks twice as fit as he did 14 year or so ago, the middle bulge is now missing, I will get at them both up in fort William, as both will be there playing the part of old geezers.
  20. So I just seen John Dickinson's page 3 story Link below http://www.tmxnews.co.uk/ViewArticle.aspx?...rticleID=723994 I know John well, he and my brother live a few doors apart and spend a lot of time together best friends since school lads laking on push bikes. When I Talked to them about entering the ssdt this year they both declined saying 03 was their last event. I now see from Dicko's story John has retired from trials altogether. All I can say is yer pair of sad buggers, are you going to sit in't pub until you get big floppy beer skins hanging over thi breeches, best way to feel old is give up!! darts and doms, I thought thi had more go than that. John!! when you and our lad get booked into the old folks home, give me a number so I know where to send the prune juice, Silsdens last of the summer wine.
  21. I know him well, his dad gives the history of trials every night at the ssdt while having dinner, I thought it was him but he looks like ***** from the last time I saw him may 02, must have found some bad ale Think he rides the pre 65 afore the scottish, don't know if thats the bike he rides.
  22. I would rather pay the bit extra for the better exhaust and rear fender, the ones shown spoil the look of the bike. Does it ever get muddy there? or is it always dry
  23. Well written opinion there Woody, sounds like a fair unbiased test ride on the bike. I found the back brake peddle on many 4 strokes to be long like you mentioned to allow the kickstart lever to travel all the way down.
