what suits ,one person,s riding surtenly does not suit another, you have to take a test ride what ever you fancy before making your mind up, keeping in mind that a four stroke and a two stroke make there power differently to one another.,so with it being your first year it will not be a bad time to change,,,,,(it will be a sad day when 2-strokes disapere because of pressure from governts etc.)

sorry your right,i got mixed up with my 2000 txt280 which took 750ml.

if you have the money,,,bye your self a all singing and dancing montesa {iwould love one)but it will not improve your ridding only practice does that,as long as your having fun ,it does not rearly matter what your on.

empty the oil via the sump bolt at the bottom of the engine like you said and then when refilling ,put 750 ml into said allen key bolt.this is on the brake lever side not the gear lever.tomsk

i have just had the middle box welded up while it was split could this have cause it to blacken.
-
hi might seem like a daft question but what does it mean when the end of the spark plug is black and oily....i now surten states of the plug can mean different things just can not remember what.any info would be greatfull thanks.

type in gas gas guru in your search engine, loads of advise, and has always been very helpfull when emailed

i simply just soak the grips in hot water, and then they fly on and when they cool down they shrink onto the bars and then i fix them with wire, then when i am going to replacing them there is no mess and the new ones just go straight on.
-
the screw your looking for is on the left hand side of the carb(sprocket side)and is a flat head screw driver type.also i would set the tick over when the engine has been warmed up and i would not set it to high just enought to stop it stalling.
-
point taken best leave it for now then,,,,thanks for the info.
