June 17, 201214 yr Chaps, Looking for some advice on what my bike is worth? It's done nothing as is effectively like a new bike! I need to sell it on as we're moving house and it's never getting used. Any ideas on fair rate for it? I've tried £2600ish which, for what is effectively a new bike, I thought was quite fair! (knowing how hard it is to find untrialed secondhand trials bikes!!)....not much interest though? Where should I be with it? Thanks
June 17, 201214 yr I'd say it's worth as much as a buyer will pay. Even unused bikes age and people are wary of claims of "little use". You need to get people to see it. Try taking it to a local trial to show it off with a for sale sign on. Park it up by the organisers location and see if that helps. Another option is ask a trials bike shop to sell it and give them some commission. This way it is not in the way while you move?
June 17, 201214 yr Author Yes, I'm with you on the 'see it' aspect. Taking down to BVM is an option - time permitting. Quite a trek though for us. For £2k, I'll probably leave it in the garage as that will work out at something like £300 per ride!!!

June 18, 201214 yr Author That's your problem, not the buyers £1800-£2000 Not a problem, a position! As it's so clean probably worth hanging on to it and trying to get a ride out on it!!
June 20, 201214 yr If its mint, I would say you should get more than £2k, there are shed loads of battered bikes out there and in my experience people will pay more for an as new bike regardless of its year. I would wait for the right buyer rather than give it away.
