Today is the day I set fire to my bike, piece of s**t

To be fair, you are trying to do a rebuild in reverse, you should have stripped it and done it properly, If its been standing for, i think you said 6 years and obviously badly abused when it was working, (probably by you) you can hardly blame the bike can you???

I ordered a new sprocket, throttle cable and fuel pipe for my gas gas today.

Figured the old throttle cable is nearly 18 years old so i would change it before it broke on me. Never had a DNF due to bike failure yet.

Its an old bike that's not worth anything, I don't want to spend £100's on it to realise it needs alot more work and it will end up costing more than I can buy one for. I have been offered a real good TX270 for £650.. I could spend that fixing up mine!

Don't take it to heart J13me.

But don't set fire to it either.

Go for the TXT and sell yours on Ebay, its still worth a few hundred quid to someone as it is.

At least you can get out and ride.

If you do set fire to it. Take video of it so that we all may enjoy the experience with you. That is what this forum is for, to share the trials experience with all of us! :rotfl:

I put the new rear fender on my bike today. Not sure how I am attaching yet, quick release style or bolts/nuts. It looks great! It makes the tank look like crud now though haha. And I definitely need a nicer front fender now too.
