Yeah, exactly! Got to make do with what you got It will definetly come, now that I have my own place I´m getting more and more tools all the time. January 23, 20188 yr Author Place is starting to take shape with the bike... today I got a Telwin, going to need a welder for the engine mounts and rear subframe and pretty sure it won´t end there. Just need a new balloon since the one I had (40L CO2) doesn´t meet euro standards anymore , leaning towards a mix of Argon and CO2. The front brakes are also finished and working like a charm, fitment is perfect!
January 26, 20188 yr Author Okay, so the carb is cleaned and jets are the correct size, hopefully this won´t be a problem. Had to flatten the engine mount and almost got the footpeg fitted so it doesn´t get in the way of the chain, hopefully I can finish it tomorrow and I´d like to clean up the engine and start putting it together. I have an old russian ignition coil (6V) will see if it works with motoplat or not.
January 27, 20188 yr Author Wasn´t as bad as I expected, don´t know yet if I´m missing anything but a days work got everything cleaned. Lot´s of petrol and brake cleaner The footpeg clears the chain now, had to file it by hand and touring that I started thinking about the gearing, there´s a 53 tooth ring at the back but the manual says 40, I´m afraid it will be waay too big since the engine is from a trials bike and the gears are pretty close as well...

Talon sprockets in the UK manufacture an 11 tooth sprocket for a Beta TR32. Yep, boughed just the chain, I can always make it shorter and I already have a talon 11tooth in the front, so not too worried about it now!
January 31, 20188 yr Author Decided to go with thread lock insted of tab washers and made a multitool to tighten all three nuts. Also have a chain, fuel-filter and hose, hopefully all the tubing for subframe and engine mounts so all I need is enough time to button up the engine and hopefully the coil I have will work.
February 1, 20188 yr Author So I´m still worried about the wires... The engine came with a motoplat CDI but it´s shouldn´t be there + I have six cables coming from the engine, can´t find a diagram that maches all the above. Had to grind down a nut for the flywheel because couldn´t get a M12x1.25 that would fit a 17mm spanner, but all in all, the engine is togeher with new gaskets but the kickstarter doesn´t clear the frame Wiring black and blue cable to a coil didn´t give me any spark yet so will spend some time googling this ignition system.
February 3, 20188 yr Sucks that the kicker hits the frame, from the bottom photo it looks like it would clear. Is it just barely rubbing the frame, or worse? If it is just touching, I'd be tempted to indent the frame at the wear spot with a sledgehammer and large drift pin.
February 3, 20188 yr It would appear that you have a TR33 engine not TR32 you will need to find the proper wiring diagram and you will need to use the motoplat CDI box. Good luck.

Good luck. I was never really sure about that, even contacted a guy on advrider and sent many pictures of the engine but he still thoughed it shpuld be a TR32. Gonna try to wire in the CDI with a diagram found online but unfortunately can´t find a manual for a TR33
February 4, 20188 yr Author Okay, so no luck with the spark Figured I´d try this one but nothing, also tried this with three different coils. Finaly remeasured the resistance but also read that if you have diodes it´s pretty much impossible to see if the stator works like that, so you´d have to send it to a specialist. Blue to earth - 208 Ohm Black to earth - 83 Ohm White to earth - 104 Ohm Blue to black - 283 Ohm Blue to white - 307 Ohm Black to white - 25 Ohm Edited February 4, 20188 yr by andrep
