January 2, 20197 yr I've just bought a 2016 beta evo 300 , what's the oil fuel mix ratio use guys are using? And what gear oil would use advise to use? Is there anything I should check or be aware of for this model also? Thanks
January 2, 20197 yr I run 80:1 premix, gear oil I have been through several types, one absolute winner came out, with minimal cold drag and I can even get neutral a lot of the time! Putoline Nano trans GP.
January 2, 20197 yr Only issue I had in the first 2 months of it's life was the rear exhaust brackets coming loose, the lower one killed it's thread in the frame in one trial, I tapped it to 6mm, used a bigger bolt and it's been fine since.
January 2, 20197 yr Put large washers on the front fender mounts or buy a gas gas mount and front fender. I have always used ATF in the 14 Beta`s that I have owned.
January 2, 20197 yr 70ml to 5L Clutch drag is an issue on these with many oils, on top of the two recommendations above Motul 300v 5w30 is good. ATF is a bit Marmite. Consider using plastic bolts for the rear mud guard so they break instead of it.
January 2, 20197 yr As above, 80:1 full synthetic & nano-trans gearbox oil. No clutch issues using that.
January 3, 20197 yr Strip and grease the suspension linkages, swing arm bolt and headstock bearings. Doesn't take long but is often overlooked and they don't come with much grease from the factory!
