Just bought a 03 scorpa sy250 and when i bought the bike it came with all sorts of spares including 2 front sprockets. what would be the advantages of changing from the 12 tooth sprocket to a 10 tooth sprocket. would the front wheel come up quicker? would you need to use 3rd instead of second to stop wheel spin. does any one have any advice or info cheers

Hello I am a bit of a beginner in the world of trials bikes so go easy on me please. Please could someone help before I start pulling my hair out. I have an old TY50 that will not start. It did start but it would not run for very long so I put a new plug and points and now it wont fire at all. There is a spark at the plug but barely at the points and I have been adjusting them constantly to try and get a spark. There are new points and I still cannot get a decent spark and the bike will not fire. Is the timing out and if so how do I go about setting it to the correct timing easily. Any advice would be fantastic. cheers Steve

Just viewed ,and Raga puts on a display at what looked like the Gas Gas Chrissy party. Does a demo hopping from rock to rock without letting front wheel come down, impressive !!!! Then does exactly the same with front end of bike removed. Worth getting ,just for this display. Beyond belief.

I can understand why you would want tubeless tyres on a high performance motorcycle (in terms of BHP and speed on the road) but it escapes me as to why you would bother on a trials bike. Especially with the problems that seem to exist in sealing the rims round the spokes. Can anybody explain the benefits please ?

Bikespace I see you have bought these. They look OK. What did you think? Presume, as they seem to be as per the hebo pattern, they will fit my 2003 Sherco using the existing springs and bolts etc. Cheers BC

Okay, so I was watching the excellent video clips from the Brit WR, and it was the 3rd Colley-demo which got my attention............ 57 seconds in that bike nips up as he does a mono burnout on top of the skips!! The video stops then restarts before he drops off then bins it, but since so many of you were there, what happened in between?? Any reference to it seizing or anything?? Fairly special at the mono-wheelie stuff though!!!!

I have been thinking of doing this for a while but on the back of the excellent ride from Ross Danby at Hawkstone, Im going to build him a website to help with his promotion. I was wondering if anyone who went to hawkstone, took any decent pics of Ross or has some decent video footage that I could use on this new site? If you have and wouldnt mind letting me use them, could you drop me a mail to webmaster@breiddenhillsmcc.org Many thanks Ian Edit: The site when its built will be www.rossdanby.net . Its going to take some time as I want it to be pretty damn cool.

On another part of this site (engine temps 2 v 4 strokes & why do they seem to run hotter) Woody ventured to say he thought the engine fitted to Nigel Birketts TYZ special was his favourite trials motor by far. Just why is it considered so good, I also recall reading (possibly a quote from Mr. Birkett) though I cannot remember that the engine fitted to his ex-works Suzuki was also very good, was the comparison being made with machines or bikes available at the same time as themselves or those both 2 & 4 stroke currently available.

My neighbors are going to vacation in Scotland next week. They offered to pick up a few Trials magazines for me while on vacation. So, my question is, what are some monthly or weekly magazines, available at a local newstand that I could request my neighbor purchase? Also, the price would be nice since I want to pay in advance. My son & I love trials and would love to have some nice trials reading material since very little is available here in the good ol' USA. Thanks, Tony

Just got back from Hawkstone, a fantastic day and result in all classes. Anyone know what fuel the HRC team use in the 4T? cus it's NOT neat petrol, you can smell some sort of additive.
