I've just acquired an '04 Rev3 200 (full story in Beta forum...) that I'm in the process of properly fettling. I'm nearly there and one of the last jobs is to increase the preload on the rear suspension 'cos it's wound right down to the bottom of the shock. I left this until last because I assumed that it'd be a 5 minute job. Of course, assumption is the mother of all screwups... The locking ring loosens fine, but the adjuster ring simply won't move, even when attempting to tap it around using a blunt drift and hammer. I've never had this problem on any bike I've owned (on my DRZ it was possible to adjust the preload by simply loosening the lock ring and turning the spri…

Mate of mine got a montesa 200, when the bike gets very hot (ie second lap into a trial) it starts mis-firing & 4 stroking & cuts out, then v. difficult to start - best bit was, pushed it back to the car and guess what - started first kick....methinks condenser or coil? any ideas? -its had the condenser mod next to the coil. Three years ago I purchased an NZI Carbon Fiber helmet on the recommendation of friends...whom I now disown. It's a good helmet; light, sorta stylish, and...light. But other than that, I have been rather disappointed in its quality. The buckle rusted within the first few weeks, making it hard to snap on and off. Then the plastic cover over the buckle shattered, exacerbating the annoyance level and thumb pain. The visor seems to splinter from impacts with any object larger than a boson. And of course, the liner is not removable for washing. After a good weekend's riding in the summer I smell like a rolling cheese factory. So, time for a new lid. Now, I really REALLY…

We are having difficulty with my mates bike, it seems to foul up plugs a lot (very black)! Its a Fantic 309 so I presume getting the correct jetting info may be hard so I was wondering if you guys had any tips? Is it worth dropping the needle and adjusting the air/fuel screw? If so by how much?? Any ideas guys?

has anyone tried any of the followin new footpegs? Pivot Pegz- i have tried and am not shure, dont think that the spring is strong enough in them and they seem to cause cramp in you feet Those new titanium foot pegs in this weeks T+MX news- not tried them, not seen them, hoping for any input as to what they are like for grip etc. Apico 8mm lower foot pegs- i currently have these on my bike as i am not exactly short but dont particularly like sacers under mi barsm i think that they are wonderfull, however they have very sharp teeth on them so can to damage to your riding jeans as i have found out, or worse they could seriously damage your legs. also i would assume that…
