I have been running my 300 pro @ 80:1 mix for quite a while and it runs fiine however it always seems smokey when going up hill. Sometimes ends up with the plug fouling also. Have tried screwing in the air mixture screw a bit to make it run a bit leaner. Anyone got any ideas, thought about maybe jetting up / down any thoughts / experiences with tuning for optimum performance from the 300 pro?

And so it went... ...found out about change of venue 10 mins before departure. Bundled myself and Mrs Boots into the car and made off. Got stuck at the temporary lights in Harrogate. Eventually got through the 'beautiful, historic town' (read - place where all the old folk go when the sun shines...cluttering up the roads with their 25 year old Austin Metros which are still as shiny as new cos they only come out on Bank holidays), legged it up to the venue and arrived ten minutes late. Mrs Boots was attending to be an observer, but due to late arrivale, all sections have observers, and thus she is unemployed and spectating all day...when she could have stayed in bed. …

While replacing the chain tensioner block on my Rev-3 I noticed that the tensioner arm itself was very loose. It wouldn't tighten either and closer inspection revealed that the thread had amost completely stripped from the hole in the swingarm. I ended up having to tap it out to 10mm but I'm struggling to find a replacement bolt or come up with an alternative solution that allows the tensioner arm to move up and down freely. The original bolt is partially threaded with the unthreaded section being of slightly larger diameter than the rest (so that it fits snugly into the hole in the arm) and of a length slightly more than the thickness of the arm (I realise all chain tens…

As the Manx 2 Day will be having it's 50th Anniversary Trial, the committee is hoping to find as much memrobelia as possibly from the last 50 years. We only need a copy of whatever anybody has and all will be displayed over the 2 day weekend. If anyone has anything from photos to programs, you can send a copy of them to Tony Temple, Uplands, Main Road, Glen Vine, Isle of Man, IM4 4AZ or if you have any on computer you can email them to tony.temple@heronandbrearley.com. All help will be greatly appreciated as this is a special year for the trial. Here's to the 50th Manx National Two Day Trial. Manx2day.com

Anyone got or riding a 4t sherco, Do you ever use the choke ? Mine seems to start first or second kick without it from dead cold,on the couple of occasions i have used it it flooded. turned it off and a couple of kicks and it fires up no problem ? Is this because the weather is warm ? When it is running it seems fine and just keps getting better

Am I correct in remembering the conversion for N/m to lb/ft... Don't you multiply the nm spec by .738 to get lb/ft, as in torque wrench settings? 50nm x .738 =36.9lb/ft. thanks Glenn
