My front wheel spindel is seized in solid, the Sherco spindles are alloy and I guess the last owner hasn't greased it!. I've snapped one 10mm Allen key off already!, it looks like the spindel is probably stuck in the inner race of the wheel bearings, I've used the hot air gun to no affect and I've given the axle/bearings a good soak in releasing oil but still stuck fast!!. Any tips?? mark

Anyone have experience with Cheng Shin C186 trials tires? At a local store these are available for $15 to $25 depending on size. I'm trying one out on the front of my trail bike (Honda XR250), but only have a few miles so far. These appear to run small. The 3.00 on my XR is narrower than the 2.75 Michelins on my Scorpas. But I haven't looked at it closely - could be the rim is a different width. I don't have any accurate way of comparing the hardness of the rubber, but by feel it is similar to Michelin. The Cheng Shin's have about the same knob pattern as Michelin. However, each knob has one, two or three cuts in the direction of travel. The local shop has a…

Did you guys see that 75 TY250 on e-bay? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAP...item=2454626310 I haven't seen one that looks like that since I bought mine brand new in 1975. Wonder where he's been hiding it? It's over $1200 now. I paid $700 for mine in 75. How high do you think it will it go? There's still 10 days left!

My wife is planning a family trip to London, with a side trip to Edinburgh, in April. The Edinburgh journey will be to visit friends and will only last a few days. I don't imagine I'll have too much **free** time, but was wondering if there's anything trials related in the vicinity of either of these two locations that I ought to see. I'd be happy with just walking into a m/c shop that sold trials gear to take a break from the usual sightseeing.

I'm the coordinator for observers for the S.T.R.A. Nationals, rounds 1 & 2 at the Trials Training Center, April 3rd and 4th. If you will be attending, and are willing to work as an observer or a card puncher, please respond with your name and which day(s) you will be available. The Southeastern Trials Riders Association will be most grateful for your help.

As an observer at a recent trial I had an unusual situation come up and I would like some opinion on how you would score this. A master rider launched over an obstacle to exit the section; his front axle was out of the section when he stopped and put a foot down outside the section, but his back tire broke the red tape because of where the bike landed. He had cleaned the section so I scored him a zero - should it have been a five?

Watching "Bikes Aloud" on the Men & Motors channel this evening and just caught a snippet about someone in America (i think), who has built an Electric Trials Bike, is this a one-off that he has built, or is he going to market them, any-body know anymore ??? Gaff.

Almost always when me and Gavin go out on our bikes gavin always seems to have bad performance from his carb because of Crap(air filter spray) at the bottom of his airbox getting into the carb, Why is this, i use the same spray(PJ1 Filter Spray) and it doesn`t happen to me! Anyone got any ideas? cheers

I have been designing a full length bike workstand made out of wood for my garage. The hydraulic ones are to expensive and cannot be stored away when not used. when I put my bike on a normal stand I find that it is to low to work on(with a bad back),so need something higher up. The design is quite simple (has to be) and only needs the bike to be pushed (or ridden) up a ramp .Once in place the normal bike stand can then be put underneath or the bikes own stand can be used. It is also designed to be portable so it can be sored away when not needed (space very limited in my garage) What I want to know really ....what do you people think the height of it should be (I was t…

If you were designing a new bike, what would you change from the ones avalible today? I'd like to see a water proof fresh air vent near the headstock for example. A sliding shock mount (or different holes with a pin) to vary the stiffness of the shock. Better and easier filter maintenance. More grease fittings. Better adjustablity for handle bars and footpegs. The things I like on the ones I see are...... Sherco's see through tank. Betas linkless shock. Tell us what you would design and what features you like on different bikes.
