The drawing up of the list of " priority" riders - and then the B & C list is no easy task - and to be honest I am not convinced we are doing it accurately enough. The problem usually arises when trying to compare the results of different riders - in different events For example - How does a 12th place in a particular National - compare with 12th place in another. Views on performance in Scottish and Scott - tend to vary greatly. It gets even worse when you try to compare the results in various Centre Championships - and although riders quite rightly wish their accompishments noted - the variance in Centres is huge - a rider who beats another in a Centre Champ -…

Re: Master Class. We had quite a lot of good sensible debate on this topic in Nov - and I explained in detail etc how it was formed - its intended purpose and the fact that a decision would have to be taken. I note from the latest posts that as few people are disappointed - and I certainly echo that view. I still believe the Master Class was a good stepping stone - as well as allowing the Clerk of Course a little flexibility. It will as - someone else has said be introduced into Welsh Champ this year - and reports are that it is good. The trouble is with any further debate on the matter is that we shoot off on a tangent about the pro's and cons of the whole Champ f…

Every Trial My Son has entered this Year has had a very good entry so far. He rides in the Yorkshire Centre and The number of riders is well up on this time last year. Only explanation I can think of is a combination of riders coming back to the sport after the F&M crisis and a lack of off-road facilities due to NIMBY's meaning that riders are desperate for a place to ride. How's every body else doing???

This was an enquiry to Bradford & Dist MC, I thought it may get more exposure on here. Stuart My name is Nick Clayton, and I sit on the Wakefield district council's local land access forum. Currently i am representing the views of offroad drivers and trail bike riders on the committee and as a group we advise the council on the strategic aims for local access to the rights of way in the district. We are currently setting up some focus groups representing each specific area of users (walkers, riders, motor vehicle, disabled etc) and we require some help. Would you be able to ask your members if any of them live in the Wakefield district and would be willing to take …

I've got an entry for the Cleveland Trial, and as this includes public roads, would it be advisable to work out how to get the lights wired back onto my bike? What do most other folks do? It is road reg, taxed and insured. Will there be any scrutineering issues if no lights?

Contact details for the secretary of the event are in the Regs, or otherwise, the man in the know for any other details will be the Clerk of the Course, Graham Evans of David Jones Motorcycles on 01686 625010 option 1.
