I was riding my DRZ on the road a few years back when I sailed over the bonnet of Mr Sales Reps Speeding Vauxhall, taking his door mirror off with my helmet on the way down the other side. I could just have easily been on my Triumph Daytona and would probably have been killed if I had! The DRZ went over his bonnet, bounced off his windscreen and landed on the road in front of his bumper with little more than a smashed waterpump and a dented down pipe, but since that day the wheels have been out of line. Although we came together on my side of the road, it was deemed my fault for pulling out, so no pay out for my damage! I'd like to get it pulled back straight, does a…

Can anybody help answer a question please? Montesa 360 H7 Enduro, fitted with Marzocchi forks, are the fork lowers made of magnesium alloy or plain old aluminium alloy? The yokes have 'magnesium' embossed into them. I've posted this in the Montesa section as well Thanks.

  11. Fancy going a bit faster? I know we've got quite a few people around the southeast, so I thought this might be of interest to one or two . . . I was talking to Ady Smith of Ady Smith KTM off-road schools fame today, about the possibility of organising a two day enduro school at their Eastbourne site in January or February next year. This would be a step up from the more common "try out" or "experience" days, with the emphasis on improving skills rather than just "having a go". Previous off road experience isn't esential, but you'll need generally confident bike skills. The enduro schools are normally held in Rugeley, Staffs but Ady is happy to run one dahn saaf if the…

Having just ridden the ian pollock memorial trial today, whilst coming along the black water path i was thinking to myself this would make a great part of an extrerme enduro. if you start at kinlochleven take them up pipeline, then up the track to blackwater with a few technical diversions, a bit of moore work back on the track for a bit of high speed stuff with a few more diversions and finish them in fort bill, it would be awesome. Why cant we have our hells gate or erzberg???? we have the tough one but how about one single lap mayhem, we have the land lets use it!!! (apart from it being apart of the west highland way but the isle of man close their roads for the tt)…

  14. Now that I'm getting settled in the new house (by settled, I mean nothing needs urgent attention, lol) there's a bit of time to go exploring, so I went out today to see if there's any good spots to take the TY and push myself a bit ... took this photo while heading home - steeper than it looks, I took the easier lines and clutched a lot in first gear to get up, not pictured is a group of natural stone steps that I stalled on. It'll be interesting to try this on the TY, I suspect it'll be far easier since this bike feels like a barge in comparison!

Looks like the big BUSINESS "ACU" have scuppered any chance of six days glory "AGAIN", the trials and enduro commitie seem hell bent on profit not results, how many times do we see this . ANY SELECTION should go on preformance , not following stupid criteria.... I feel sorry for Fast Eddie , having met him a few times, he is a top bloke . its alway politics with the ACU jobsworths... The americans seem to have the AMA and they look after everone, why oh why do we have so many federations and factions allways "INFIGHTING".
