I'm pretty surprised that I haven't seen any chat about '06 models now that they are out, so I thought I'd stop lurking and stop a topic. I got mine on Monday and have got about an hour and a half or so of riding in on it thus far. I am coming from an '04 model 270 that I bought from new. A little background to put my comments into perspective. I'm in my second full year of trials riding (I ride the Advanced line), and have raced enduro bikes for the last 15 years. I'm 32 and took up trials as a "cross-training" tool but quickly became addicted and now ride it more than my enduro bikes. I've owned 3 bikes, all Beta's, one 250 and now two 270's. Likes ---------…

My grandson and I am taking the clutch down on his Beta 80 and got as far as removing the plate and springs, needless to say the clutch is sticking solid We've read the sticky and it sounds exactly like Brit bikes of the 60's and 70's Simple question, is the central retaining bolt left or right hand thread? I don't want to strip the thread/snap bolt I've been after a new fuel filler cap, it seems parts for this year are hard to find, any reason?

I noticed after a few obstacles yesterday that my bike when tilted to the side (very little) is dumping gas out of one of of tubes from the carb. I'm assuming float adjustment? Before removing anything I thought I would ask here for specs, tutorials ect on adjusting the carb on my bike. Thanks, Peter

Hi All, my brother recently baught a 2006 rev 3 250cc from a UK beta dealer. He was told on delivery that the bike has running in jets in the carb. He was told to ride it 5 or 6 times then return it to the dealer to have the jets changed. Since day one the bike has run smokey on choke, even when warmed up (off choke) it feels choked (not crisp) and he has to change gear a lot as it fluffs out when revved. He has now used it 5 times without improvement and it is due to go back to the dealer. He was also told to run the fuel at 50:1 but the book states 66:1 ? Basically do beta's come with running in jets and should they be run at 50:1. Why Would a new bike run choked ? It a…

I am in need of a factory service manual for my 2006 Beta Rev 3 both engine and chassis in English. Any help finding one would be greatly appreciated. Also if you could point me to a reliable source of OEM parts, I would be grateful. Thanks. Naturally I would be glad to pay a dealer for a proper service manual, I just can't get anyone who has one to sell.

Not sure how many of you have seen it yet but for those of you that havent here are some pictures. I love the colour scheme it reminds me of the 2000 colour which i think was the best, and the rear mud guard is smart. matt

Hi just wondering what the water passage through the clutch case is for or should it not have one as I do need a new case as mine is corroded,if you remove the water pump cover to reveal the water pump to the left of the water channel it has a hole through to the other side of the engine . it has two coolant pipes on the water pump cover so im confused to where the watter flow goes should it circulate from the pump through the coolant pipe to the exhaust and up to the head or does it circulate the water round the exhaust to warm it up faster . thanks

I just bought a 2006 Rev3 which has done less than 20hrs. The problem I have is the bike starts easily and revs pretty well in neutral, but as soon as I select a gear and release the clutch it bogs and dies. I select neutral and it starts first kick? Coming from an enduro background I'm a complete trials (and trial bikes) newby. I'm the problem lies in the carb, but any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Was on my bike yesterday, and when I got home and unloaded it from the trailer I went to press the brake and the lever just went to the bars, on closer inspection some parts seem to be missing between the lever and the master cylinder, if I was to get this kit in the link is that all I need? Also here's some pics to show what I mean http://www.bvm-parts.co.uk/index.php?route=product/product&path=123_29_116&product_id=151 Thanks Gavin

Hi All, My internal clutch cover on my 2006 rev 3 125 has eroded at the water pump impeller, resulting in the coolant ending up in the gearbox. The old cover has a hole eroded through to a corresponding hole at the back of this cover, this lines up with a hole in the engine. What is this hole for please? I assume I can just install the new cover as is and flush the coolant and gearbox oil and hope all is o.k.? Although this corresponding hole on the new cover is puzzling me? Any advice would be appreciated, cheers. Please see attached photo's which hopefully make my description above a bit clearer. I've pointed at the corresponding hole in the en…

I've finally got round to removing the clutch on my lad's bike prior to replacing the perforated clutch case. Before I do, can anybody enlighten me on removing the retaining clip shown on the attached photos? Is it a case of just bending the 2 lugs back prior to using a 22mm socket? If that's the case, I assume a new clip will need fitting afterwards. Are there any tips on re-installing this before I mess anything up? Also, I can't find a part number on the Beta website for this clip - does anybody know this and where I can find one in the UK? Many thanks in advance for any advice. Everybody's been a great help so far.

Hey guys, I am new here and I picked up a 2006 rev 3 125 today. I did a test run and all was good but now I got home and the cluch doesn't work anymore, it is very light and does nothing. Anyone who has any idea? This is my first bike with a hydraulic cluch. Thanks.
