There is a tubeless tyre on the rear - 'Vee Rubber - Trial Benissimo'- Made in USA. Never heard of this make but the question is; are there any problems running this with a tube and will standard rim locks work ? Many thanks.

Just removed the rear wheel to replace the wheel bearings. I found a short 'sleeve' rattling around when the spindle was removed. So, should there be a full length sleeve between both wheel bearing inner races ? Has anyone got a photograph of the rear wheel set up ? Many thanks !

Help ! Just got our new/old SWM 320 running but the clutch seems to be disengaged normally and engages when the clutch is pulled in. What's going on ? I can cope with the heavy operation but it is tricky to ride with that configuration !

Hi All, While doing a pivot turn over a log on tl320 no. 2 I smacked the gearshift lever onto a branch stub bending the gearshifter in against the cases and twisting it. Even after gaining clearance from the case no more shifting and stuck in 1st gear. The impact was more or less straight onto the end of the shaft. Is it possible that it maybe worked back out to get end float clearance? Or is it likely that a shock to shift drum may have stopped it working. The kicker is still working fine and I'm assuming the gear shaft is not bent in side the kickshaft due to this. Any theories/ advice welcomed. While ive got your attention my no. 1 bike is leaking gearbox oil and…

I have dragged my bog standard Jumbo from the depths and have a clean slate to play with. It is totally stock and runs the case reeds. The footrests do not have a return spring and I cannot see how one is fitted. It is also fitted with SWM (Betor) 35mm forks, it is my understanding that the first bikes had 38mm. Were they changed at the factory during the last days? Overall the bike is in excellent condition so I assume they are standard factory fitment. What other modifications would you recommend? gearing, carb (26mm perhaps), exhaust system, ignition timing. Thanks for your help

I've just become the owner of a rather sad and neglected TL320. (re-living my youth having last owned one in approx 1984) First of many questions to come - can anybody tell me the correct length of the rear shocks. Thanks Ross

What is considered the best set up for these forks ? At present running 220ml of TQF (approx7w)and works OK, but open to suggestions. I weigh about 13 stones. The fork caps have a screw at the bottom, presumably to release pressure but seized solid at present, don't remember them having this, is it a modification ? Thanks Ross

Hi All, Just been out for a spin on my TL 320 and when loading the bike up in second on decent banks there was a slight clunk - like a quieter version of the a chain jumping the sprocket. 1st was Ok and bike is shifting smoothly etc. I have had the clutch apart recently to change springs and was wondering if the clutch basket nut may have come loose. Would it have those symptoms if this was the case or could the dogs on the gears have worn slightly in second? Any help appreciated.

If you cut a SWM back box vertically and long ways, the bit nearest the wheel is a series of baffles. The outside doesn't appear to be connected at all, whats that all about, eh ?
