Only two weeks to go now for the first round of the popular WTC sanctioned Outlaw Series for 2013. This year see's our event return to familiar ground at the property of the Victoria Motorcycle Club. The Outlaw series also counts towards the WTC provincial championsips. As usual, the format continues with Day 1 being for twinshock bikes only. There will be an A class that will ride Intermediate lines, and a B class that will ride the Junior lines. Its always a great time, and the weather looks to be great! I will be in Edmonton this weekend on business at a customer clinic. If by chance there are any riders who are in the area and want to catch a beer or just chat it up give me an IM. Well call me crazy but I have organized another Trials demo at the NS Outdoor sport and RV show. Based on the success last year (despite me riding off the roof of a car onto my head) we have gone all out and Paul Yvan and his kids are going to join us from Quebec for the show. I even got a banner made up to make us look like we know what we are doing. Stephane has built one heck of an obstacle but given my performance last year I think I will leave it for the pros Just today I found a Ford Taurus Wagon which will be a bit tamer to drive over plus we have a large tire, a few wood triangles, a couple of logs, and a teeter totter - should be something for everyone. …

I see that there are Four Canadian riders in the SSDT this year, the largest contingent for quite a while. - The best known of these is Stan Bakgaard, who last rode the event in 1984 finishing 13th on a TY 250. - Stan will be mounted on a Sherco for this year's Trial.

I will be spending some time this summer at my companies corporate headquarters in Calgary, Alberta. The time will be spent in two week increments affording me at least a few weekends when I could and would like to go see a trials event. Just bragging here.I can't help but post this.The SOVT trial in Brantford Ontario had 82 riders sign up and enjoy a great day with the help of Dual Sport Plus and other sponsors.

The first two rounds of the 2011 Canadian National Championships, sanctioned by WTC, were completed at Summerland in British Columbia on May 21 & 22, 2011. A total of 65 competitors took part in the weekend's activities, with a third of them from outside of British Columbia, lending a truly national flavour to the two trials. The results leave Thomas Cordner of Victoria, BC in the lead with a margin of just one championship point over Jonathan English of Foxboro, Ontario. The 2010 Outlaw Trial is now in the History books - The 23rd running of this annual event saw 45 riders out on the two days of action in the Okanagan Valley, near Summerland BC. With the Vintage on Saturday, and the Modern on Sunday. The 20km loops on Sunday, had two loops of 20 sections for Expert/Advanced riders, and 15 x2 for the other classes. - An early morning rain shower made the rocks slippery, but they dried out for the second loop. Brandon Wince of Kelowna beat out Stan Bakgaard for the Expert win on the tie break, with Steve Foord in third place. Full results can be seen by clicking on www.trialscanada.com.

I am promoting an Event in Western New York, about 30 minutes east of Olean, about 2 hours over the Buffalo Border. As the title states it is being billed as the Can Am Challenge. After doing a trials demo at the local motorcycle show on the weekend (here in Nova Scotia) a fellow came up and asked if I remembered him from 2019... So I have come to find out that owning a 2003 sy 250 scorpa in Canada has it's challenges...I know that (from what i have read) the sy is good all around reliable bike and I am thoroughly enjoying its rideability and ample power (for my novice riding skills) Here'e the question...If and when the time comes...where can I a) find parts, like for example clutch components... b)fenders, fasteners, fork seals etc... I have recently placed and received an order from "the tryals shop" and i must say I was impressed with their service and speedy shipping.. (dutie fees sucked though) I was able to get some "consumables" like, levers,grips, adjusters...etc. I guess i'm more or l…

The C.T.C.G. is in the progress of being formed and will be initially comprised of one representative from each province however BC and AB will have multi reps during the start up phase. How the group functions, its future structure and mandate will be decided democratically by the group once it's up and running. Quite simply the group will discuss trials related issues and of course each representative will bring these issues back to their provincial riders for feedback.
