The 28th running of the WTC Sanctioned Two Day Outlaw Trial took place at Scotch Creek. BC - on the May long weekend - The Shuswap riders did an excellent job of setting up a variety of sections for all classes, plus put on a big BBQ on both Saturday and Sunday nights. - With an entry of 40 riders each day, plus a kids Trial on the Saturday evening, the event was once again a huge success. In the Expert class, it was an all Beta podium, with Brandon Wince of Kelowna taking the win, over our new transplanted Aussi, Sam King, and Sean Bird - a former CMA Champion, making a welcome return to the sport. There is now a new Canadian Trials website online. www.mototrials.ca looks to be a fresh, modern site that will serve our community well and was the creation of Brian Hotovy and longtime trials legend from these parts, Ryon Bell. It is also on twitter which you can pickup when you go to the page! It will be great to get up to date info from clubs and be able to see video and pics there too. Steve

  5. The 2015 Canadian National Trials Championships are now set! This year they will be held in Muskoka, Ontario on August 1/2. This is now the 2nd year of Championships since the inception of the CMA-TAC (trials advisory committee) and it is having a major impact to how the events are run, and the level of commitment from riders. Again, the CMA is the only official National sanctioning body in Canada that is recognized by the FIM and is part of the global family under that umbrella! This years Championship will be a continuation of the new concept and atmosphere which the TAC hopes to help unite riders in our giant country! The area is one of the best there is in Ontari…

Just wanted to note that this year we are having Trials demonstrations right across this big country of ours. By working with the Canadian Motorcycle Show the sport of Trials has been given some great visibility. Last year Jordon Szokes had done a few shows out West and in Toronto. This year I jumped on the band wagon and tried to organize a show for the East Coast. In my efforts to organize it I found out that Stephen Fotheringham with ATAQ was already planning a Demo for Quebec city and Montreal. The Moncton show was the week in between the 2 shows so the show organizer was able to transport all the staging between the three shows and the Belanger family was nice enough…

  14. CMA Trials Advisory Committee (TAC) Member Announcement: Press Release - November 22/2013 I am extremely excited to announce the members selected to the very first CMA Trials Advisory Committee (TAC). I am very confident that the team we have assembled is up to the task we have ahead of us. I am also very motivated to work with all of them as they share the passion th…

Hi folks, Thought I'd post-up and say hi to my fellow Canadians. I'm just getting re-aquainted with the sport - I used to have a TY80 when I was a kid in the UK almost 30 years ago. Haven't riden a trials bike since then - but just picked up a 1993 Beta Gara 260 to play around with. I'm going to teach my little dude how to ride his XR50 next year and thought a trials bike would be the ideal machine to putt-along side him. I'm also interested in finding out about trials clubs in south-western Ontario and possibly competing an an easy class - once I have mastered the basics. I'd be interested in getting in touch with anyone who lives in the Oakville / Burlington area. Ri…

Excellent trial!, excellent venue!, excellent weather! very well laid out sections on a nice loop. I rode the D line and that was testing enough for me. Even the traffic cooperated better than expected on the trip home. Well done Dave and the organizers, a very nice day out!
