  10. Started by michael_t,

Today we had our second event for the year (of 3). It was a fantastic day, sunny and about 23 degrees ©. I had spent 3 days earlier in the week setting out, building the sections and just had the start and end gates and any last minute changes left to do. Fellow riders had helped me out but even with 2 or 3 people it is hard to gage if things are going to be too tough or not tough enough (leaves you thinking about it in the middle of the night). I had a pretty good idea who was coming so we decided on 3 difficulty levels (we had typically been just using 2 levels). I got up in the morning and printed the score cards, a waiver for people to sign, and a score sheet (that I…

The 3rd annual Ady Brown Memorial Trial will take place at Summerland BC next weekend November 10/11th - Although the date is late in the year because of other calendar changes due to Forest Fire Hazards, The long term foecast looks good, with no big snow storms predicted. - Adrian Brown, was a transplanted Cockney - who made friends with everybody he met in Western Canada, he was always full of fun, and enjoyed his Trials riding in the Okanagan Valley, Sadly he was diagnosed with cancer while on a visit to England back in 2001, and although he survived another nine years, living in the UK, and riding Trials with his buddies for some time, he finally passed away at the …

  18. Started by outlaw dave,

The annual Adrian Brown memorial Trial, was held in OK Falls BC on October 18th - Adrian was a popular member of the Trials group in the Okanagan Valley, and had a wonderful sense of humor. - Unfortunately we lost him way to soon to Cancer at age 50 when this was discovered on a visit to his London UK home in 2001. - His local club in the UK was the Bognor Regis and this year, his parents sent out a special plaque to display at this yearly event which is all about raising money for Cancer research. We are happy to report that we collected $890.00 for this worthy cause, but more importantly we shared a lot of good memories of Adrian around the camp fire.
