Has anyone purchased one of these, if so did it fit allright, holes align etc. http://www.todotrial.com/ttshop/especiales-clasicas.htm# They appear to offer more width of coverage/protection than the std shield is this so. I also seem to recall an aftermarket shield that was turned or curved round at the sides, does anyone know if they are still available.

Hi guys When I received my Bultaco the tank was very worn, needed spraying. We sprayed it and everything was ok, until the petrol vapour literally destroyed the paint work and stripped the stickers we had on it. I understand that this is a common problem. Does anyone have any idea of a cure? Regards, Kelvin

I've stripped my M159 forks down and they have upside-down U-shaped spacers at the bottom of the springs, these spacers do not appear in either my Haynes or Clymer manuals. They are shaped like a capital U with a flare at the ends. Are they required or are they a mod' that has been completed by a previous owner in an attempt to pre-load the spring? Any ideas? I've got new springs, newly re-chromed stanchions (Philpotts in Luton) and new fork seals, so I'm not expecting them to have anything other than a "standard" feel initially, I can mess with the oil weight etc later. The general condition of the internals appears to be fine with no obviously excessive wear that mig…

Hi, I am slowly progressing with my M80 rebuild and I am splitting cranks to replace gearbox shortly. I am considering having the crank rebuilt with new bearings but most kits include a new conrod. This adds a lot to the cost when budget is limited! Is it feasable to rebuild using the original con rod with new bearings or is there a good reason for replacing everything? Also, can any one recommend a good engine guy in Newcastle/Durham area to carry out the rebuild? Cheers, Myson

I've got wheel alignment problems with my Model 159, even after straightening the bent swing arm and triple clamp. I've measured and drawn up the swing arm and cast aluminum rear engine mount and it sure looks like the engine case center is supposed to be on the centerline of the bike with the swing arm centered on it too. Yet with good sprocket alignment (fresh sprockets too) to get the rear wheel aligned on the front wheel the rim has to be pulled over towards the sprocket to the point where I've got serious concerns about the amount of thread engagement between the spokes and nipples on the right side of the wheel. Perhaps the new Buchanan spoke set is off, with the…

Hi all, I'm interested in buying a Bultaco and was wondering if there is a model year or size that I should stay away from because of mechanical or ..... problems? I understand that they turn like a dream, just what I need where we compete in the Sierra Nevada's (Lake Tahoe area). Thanks for your time. john
