Hello people, I'm tidying up a few wiring issues inherited from previous owners and I've hit an issue without an obvious solution. Can anyone tell me what the MIL wire from PIN22 on the ECU is supposed to do? It's currently connected in a very nonsensical way and I'd like to understand how it should be connected. Does anyone have specific knowledge? I've a loom with the six pin diagnostics connector and the easystart system if it helps. Failing that, does anyone know what happens to pin 22 in the cases of a fault and no fault? Thanks in advance. Cheers... Paul

Hello, I'm a noob to the forum, having just bought an Explorer. It needs some work, nothing dramatic, just fork seals and wheel bearings... oh, and a cylinder head to replace the cracked original... all which are in-hand. I've not ridden it much yet, but already it's a bit obvious the suspension lacks refinement. What I'd really like to do is replace everything with the TR280i kit, but parts seem almost as elusive as rocking-horse poop. Is anyone breaking a TR or have a shock and forks they're willing to part with? Thanks in advance. Cheers... Paul

Should the head and barrel be black and if so gloss or matt?

Hello All, Recently rebuilt my engine, but I can't find neutral. Can change through the box using the kick-start, but it's always in gear. Any ideas? Thanks.

Hi, I've just registered on the site. I have been replacing the fuel pump on my TR 280i and found a few helpful posts here. I was wondering if anyone knows where i can find an Explorer conversion kit. By the way I found the fuel pumps from the KTM 690 Duke's look identical and are relatively cheaper..

Hello. As title i really can not get on with the compression on this bike. Is there anybody with experience with other year modern Ossa bikes that found the compression on 2013 bikes unreasonable to the point of cant be a***d to try to start the bike. I believe that Ossa changed something on the later bikes or earlier ones so the compression was not so high. So if they did how can i change it to the different compression rate because how the hell are you supposed to start the bike again in the middle of a trials section with out putting your foot/ feet down. late 2015 Explorer. Clutch worked fine. Gearbox had chewed up kickstart idle gear, so Lewisport swapped out for a good one. (Same size mainshaft bearing). Fits fine of course, but now it is like the clutch pack is too thick. (9.88mm). I have another gearbox here (not the one that came out) and I measure darn close between ‘bottom’ plate and hub/inner hub. But the ‘fingers’ do not stick out enough from the hub- so when the slave is activated it pushed in fine- until it hits the hub. Lever only moves about halfway. Ideas?

On my original 2014 Explorer (sold a couple years ago) I broke the suspension linkage a couple of times. I bought some Titanium ones and they were great (with lube fittings). But the company no longer makes them. I suspect they didn’t sell very many at all. Since I like learning things and have been working on Fusion (3D CAD) I have been designing a new linkage. I am basing off 2015 links (larger main link) but going to change to needle bearings in the middle of the link, with lubrication passages. The other ones would be a lot more difficult to change from the bushings, but I can still put lube passages. I have 3D printed the parts so I can test fit and make…

Hi everyone, I own my 2014 tri280 over 7 years. I use it only a few hours a year in my backjard. No oil changed or repairs were needed. Untill now. The clutch is starting to give problems: When "clutched" ( i mean brake connection between crank and gears) it starts to drags al little. I have to brake otherwise it will slowly drive away. The point of engagement (? if this is the correct term, im not sure) hasnt changed. When "not clutched" there is no slip at all. (sorry about bad english, i try) So before taking everything apart I read as much as possible. Found ossa-efi.com. Thanks a lot Konrad for your work. I found stuff reg…

Hi everyone, as promised i'm sharing the entire 2012 Explorer 280i project to provide as much information as possible to those who need it. Here is the bike before complete disassembly: The bike starts (with difficulty) has good compression (forgot to test it before opening the engine), the gears are ok (neutral doesn't go in easily), the engine's electrical system works but nothing of the Explorer's additional system works; A 12V battery with flying wires that activates the pump and ECU has been added by someone previously. The engine runs very very rich and makes a lot of smoke (the locomotive from Back to the Future III makes less smoke) …

As above. These reusable clips or are they as with me doing jobs on this Ossa i have now refitted everything back together refilled fluids and have started the bike , fed up with the compression of this 2013 model , and now the two joints i had to unclip are now leaking. I had to drain the system manipulate and move pipes around and also reposition the clip a little and still they leak even left over night there are drips on the floor. Is it just my luck or are these really not reusable as i am getting fed up with things not working out with this bike. Ta

Hello here again. This spring is there a specific way of getting these things to fit. I have been trying now for an hour and all i have managed to do is end up with two fingers with plasters on as this spring has managed to cut both. Every time i try to force the spring round to get the straight part of this spring into the slot of the swing arm it just will not go in because the spring is too big to move into the round machined recess. I thought that when i force the flat part of this spring round that the spring would become smaller allowing it to fit in but it actually gets bigger??? Now this spring is new and presume that there is only one type made but i recall tha…

Hello everyone It's been a while since I've posted and in fact I've relapsed!!! I bought back an Ossa , I was in love with it!! and from late 2012 so a 2013 even though it has the ECU marked still with 11 final. I'm writing because I have a problem, when the bike is nice and warm it shuts off on me, like it's running out of gas, it revs up as I ask and then drops goes up and then drops all the time. I don't know what to look at. Unfortunately I had sold everything kscan harnesses etc.... I can't tell if it stops getting spark or stops getting gasoline for a few moments. I am working on a 2012 Explorer in quite nice condition. The fuel injector is not working. I tested with battery power directly, it works great then down to about 6Vdc. Fuel pressure 50psi. When I run the injector test in the diagnostics, I can just hear injector click, but it does not open to squirt fuel. I tested voltage on with injector in place, doesn’t even move the meter. 9Vdc without injector. I suspect bad earth in the loom. I do not have a diagram for the early bikes (these have a battery from new). Ideas?

As above. Has any body removed or knows how this sensor is attached. I think mine is very lightly weeping and don't want to damage anything to sort this out. Thank you.
