Suzuki/Beamish

Hi. My mate has recently restored a DR400S, he has rebuilt everything and it is pretty much n mint condition. He's offering to sell it to me. I've been trying to judge value, but there don't seem to be any restored ones for sale for me to guide a price. He's not going to make any money for the 300 hours he has worked on it, just wants his costs back so he can buy something else to restore... Any one got some idea of a price guide, I've searched the internet but i've been unable to find anything. Thanks.. Gary

I have a suzuki front end that I am going to put on my Majesty Yam, I was told that it was a beamish front end but I think it is probably an earlier RL front end as there are no air valves on forks, can anyone confirm this and also, how are they rated as standard and does anyone have any tips or mods for setting forks up to work as well as possible. This is my second posting on the above bike and although not trials related, the answers I received last time were helpful. Since then my grandson has been asking when the bike will be ready for him to ride! It goes at the moment but I need to fit the kill switch and I am not perfectly sure how to wire it. All the bikes I own run on points and the Suzuki has CDI. With points it is not a problem to rig up a switch because there is only one wire going to the coil. On the Suzuki there are two wires into the coil from the CDI. One is black with a white strip, the other white with a blue strip. I could try cutting either of the wires and fitting the switch but I am conce…

Hi all Mu query is not related to a trials bike but I am sure someone out there can help. I have just bought an old 82 model TS 185 to get my young grandson used to riding bikes. The clutch is slipping and needs to be replaced. My problem is that I have undone all screws holding the cover on but it won't budge!!! Something else is preventing me from removing it. Any ideas?? I am sure one of you people have pulled one of these bikes apart before. Any help much appreciated. Thanks

Your opinion about Suzuki RL250 or Suzuki Beamish?

Hi all. New to this site and a bit of a techno dummy so lets hope I can use the site okay. So I have an issue with my Suzuki Beamish RL. I have been advised the Beamish was made in two models. The RL250 and the RL325. Problem being my Suzuki Beamish has a period decal either side that looks original, that states it's an RL350. So, does anyone know if the beamish was made as a 350 please.

Hi all Tried to remove the shaft securing the swingarm to the frame today, no joy, seems stuck solid. I have recently purchased the bike which was restored some years ago but not used since then, the swingarm has been re-chromed so I'm supprised the retaining shaft did not come out easily ? Any thoughts and tips on removing the shaft will be most appreciated. Regards Phil.

Hi everyone I'm new to the site and I just rescued a 1974 RL 250 from a old motorcycle wrecking yard here in Washington state. A little back story the very first dirt bike I bought from a dealer ship was a 1974 RL 250 Exacta that the owner of the Suzuki dealership turned it into a enduro for enduro racing the things he changed were the Tank to a TM tank and put a TM seat on it and he also Put Knobby tires instead of the trials tires.
