Hi there. I've got an early 80's MH123. Is it exactly the same bike as the MH200 except for the barrell ? Also are any of the other size bikes sharing the same chassis / engine parts. There is a guy breaking a 200 on e bay at the moment.

Hi, I have a montesa 247 frame with a 248 engine. The problem I have is the single down tube 247 frame isn’t an easy match for the 248 engine exhaust port as this engine would have gone in a twin down tube frame. Does anyone know if a 247 barrel and head will fit the 248 engine?

Hi Want to change the map on my 4rt, have got the lead, found the map on the net and have downloaded it. I have read the manual on the procedure but realised I don't have the software to run the program. Does anybody know of a website that has this software available or is it only available of the HRC disc? Regards Simon

Anyone here nows what Montesa changed on the 4ride ? 2016 was with euro3 homologation, 2018 euro4 There is on the 18 modell the bashplate and the sprocket protection as on the trials bike, also the kick starter is now the short one... Any changes on gearbox, fuel injection or else ? Someone here has ridden both bikes ? At the moment, both versions are still avaliable at some dealers here in germany, the 2016 is a little bit cheaper....

I am after an engine case cover for the gear lever side, ignition cover for my 4rt. I’m not a fan of the trick bits ones. Has anyone got a pic of an alternative on the bike? I’ve found an apricot one but can’t work out what bits it protects from the off the bike pic. thanks Dave

Hi, i've just stripped down a 315 to change the crank seals and they were fitted in different directions? The left hand side (stator) was fitted facing outward ie the numbers on the outside, the other was fitted facing inside (numbers towards the piston).. I've checked the book and according to the pics the clutch side was correct?, I just cant work out by the diagrams how the other side should go? Any ideas? Regards Finn

Hoping for some 4RT advice. I have just bought a 2008 Mont having previously had 06 and 07 models, and 315s for 7 years before that. Can anyone tell me if they changed the clutch from 2007 to 2008? Reason I ask is this 08 has much stronger spring - reminds me more of a beta rev 3 for example and I don't like it. One of the reasons I have always liked Montesas is the superlight clutch, and having put on a 315 Master on the 06 and 07 4RTs I got the same feel as with my 315 - a nice bite and superlight. I find the light clutch reduces cramp on long trials like the SSDT. Strangely, it actually already has the 315 size bigger master on this new 08 one so it can't be that. O…

Hi, I am trying to fix my sons bike as the kick start is not working . I have stripped it down and found that the doube cog has stripped some teeth. The trouble is the part has been discontinued ( I contacted Sandifords) and so I am in seach of a second hand part. Can anyone help me in finding one as he saved up to buy this bike and is fed up that he cant ride it. I live in Essex, so if any one knows of a breakers or had one I could buy off them please contact me on mikepegley@aol.com. I hope some one can help as he is fairly gutted at the moment. Thanks

This must be the second best I've seen to crop up on evil-bay. The other never having been ridden. This one's seen a bit of action (look at the rear brake lever) but is in fantastic condition. 348 MRR

Hello all. I've got a problem with contamination in the fuel system on my Montesa 1997 315r. I've tried to remove the fuel tap (pet cock in USA) but the captive nuts appear to be spinning in the tank itself. Also the face of the tap (the on/off plate) seems to be rivetted on. Anybody got any ideas as I need to get the tap off to completely clean everything? And then I'll need to repair it somehow? The only way I can see of getting the bolts off is to drill them out but there's a good chance of wrecking the tank inserts. It's annoying because I've just put an OKO carb on and in no time the pilot jet was blocked. Thanks in advance. Tony
