2024 txt bike reach?
A friend ride a Repsol, the first thing I notice when I test rode it was how short it was compared with my 2015 Sherco, when I checked the specs, I only found a 20mm difference in the wheelbase. I think that wheelbase is only one of many things that make the '' feeling '' we have on a bike Guy

Tires
The last rear tire I bought for my 2015 Sherco was a Dunlop 803 GP rear and I still run the original Michelin front, it's time to refresh them. Here is a list of what's avalable in the area : Rear Dunlop K950, Geomax TL01 and D803GP - Michelin Comp - IRC TR-11. Front Michelin Light and Heidenau K67 ( never heard of that ). What is your experience

Best vented helmet
I also ride mountain bike ( EMTB to be honest ) and when they became avalable I bought a MIPS rated helmet, mabe that's why I'm '' suffering '' so much with my trials helmet to the point that I'm looking at a new one with more ventilation.

Best vented helmet
I agree with you Konrad, I need to try it on before buying, the problem I have here in Quebec, is there is not a lot off trials gear retailer and they are quite far apart, so any info will probably save me a lot of traveling.

Majesty Frame.
I modified the frame of an A model to Majesty spec a few years back. I think that the first thing to do is find a straight frame than build a jig. I'm sure you will find very good advise on this site.

TY250A with two spark plug holes?
It sure look like an original 434 head with a modification made in an unconventional way. if it work, use it. The original plug wire must be short. Guy

Chain Maintenance
I forgot, the chain of a trials bike doesn't very hot when riding, I think that it's the reason why the ATF work for me. Guy

Chain Maintenance
For half of a century, I've used ATF to lube the chain. After a ride I wash the bike than I generously lube with ATF, I wipe of the chain before leaving for the next ride. I found the lightness of the oil penetrate the rollers and push the mud out. Only thing, don't forget to put something under the bike. Guy

493 TY 250 carburetor
I do agree with you Jon v8 that the Mikuni that come '' stock '' on TY are the best and I would never swap one for another make unless the original was worn out and I would not be able to find another original TY Mikuni, but the Mikuni VM are not the ideal replacement for a TY 250 in my opinion. 493 TY 250 carburetor
A few years back, I replace a TK carb on a model 434 by a VM32, I never could make it running well. I'm not saying that I'm a Mikuni engeneer but I know my way around them, if you don't find a rebuld kit, you should consider OKO. The comment are very good. Guy
