DVLA - 1st reg
The DVLA are now on the case regarding Trials/Enduro bikes 1st registrations. Had to explain after they said my insurance was not valid(Bennetts) as the Policy Exclusions stated - Use for Hiring, racing, pacemaking, speed testing, rallies, trials, competitions etc, I had to explain the trials element means 'Speed Trials' blah blah blah, then the insurance asked about the ignition key!!!!!!!!!!! what.............On a trials bike? In the end after signing a disclaimer from the DVLA stating 'It will only be used 'Off Road' OR on closed roads as part of a competition or trial evant' also ' The vehicle does not comlpy with the construction and use regs and therefore cannot be used as an everyday vehicle for the highway' The reg should be completed and with me this week. It looks like our days may be numbered! Has anyone else had any issues of the same nature?

7 year old Son, advice please
Great advice from the lads, the TY80 is a great starter bike but to get the hang of things from zero maybe a GG50 Boy as they are twist and go. Bought my 8 year old daughter one 2 months ago, once set up right its ideal............looks upto date. Bewdley are running an evening series for beginners starting on 9th June at Shatterford near Kidderminster, come along and have a look.

GG Boy
Has anyone got an idea of how much oil to put into the gearbox, the manual gives 2 different quanities - 450ml and 500ml, now this seams rather high as only 150ml came out!! also once in 1st gear it's now dragging.....making me believe there is too much in. Any top tips would be appreciated, by the way its an 06 thats been used 3 or 4 times from new. Cheers

'10 TXT 250 Pro Knocking
The manual quotes 2%(50:1), I would be tempted to follow this using unleaded. We do and have had no problems, if the bike has done road work then its been too lean at high temps. Page from the manual:- Recommendations for the reliable operartion of your GAS GAS.

Gas Gas 125, any good?
The GG is a Cracking bike for a 125, from 07 the build quality has overtaken ALL its competitors. The 2010/2011 are the best. If you can, buy new as many have been well used, there are good second hand one's out there, but you'll have to be patient and pounce once you've spotted the bike you want.

Hill climbing - how hard is it?
I had a 525 KTM for geenlaning and is was a great bike, BUT if you lost your way on a hill climb it was very difficult to get back on line, as Scorpa 3 has said you need to set your bike up like a trials bike or closest to. You can't beat a trials bike, they will do/go anywhere. If I were to get another bike for greenlaning it would not be an enduro bike.

Hooper Trial - Cancelled
Thanks for all your replies, in a nutshell if it wasn't for the Guys giving up thier weekends/evenings to organise these events then all you riders would have NO TRIALS to go to !! Support them lads/lasses, if we are not carefull their will be nothing?!

Hooper Trial - Cancelled
The next trial at Mamble will be a club event, put the 28th November in your diary and it will close on the day. We may not run Centre events in 2011 as I feel a club trial is all the riders want!
