    i would probably say a hotter plug most mdern bikes use a 5 maybe its got a colder plug in for road use so it doesnt get too hot and burn a hole in the piston James

  7. The idle screw is on the left hand side of the carb very hard to get to. you need a long flat bladed screwdriver and have to do it from the left of the bike. The air screw is at the front of the carb on the bottom. this is also hard to get to but can be done using a very small stumpy screwdriver. It probably means for running the bike in when it is brand new. James

  12. So far so good. It seems the oil has solved it. what oils are you guys running and at what ratio. i am now using the Motul 510 powerlube semi-synth
  13. any one tried this? lampkin said to use a good quality semi synthetic oil as the betas dont like fully synth do you reckon this oil is ok any one run it in a beta

  15. the new plug hasnt made anydifference really just gotta change the oil now. Does anyone know the standard carb setting for the needle etc? Cheers james
  16. i have repacked the silencer and will get some more two stroke oil and a plug asap and then see how she runs hopfully that will cure it other wise ill look into the electrics is it true then the electrics dont go on the 2002 because its a differnt system James
  17. spoke to JLI and he said that electrical problems are not relevernt on the 2002 bike because its a differnt system. he said to run it on semi synthetic oil at 70:1 and to use a 5 heat range plug and repack the silencer. 'it sounds like its getting choked up' at the moment i am using a 7 and fully synth oil so will change these and see what its like just letting you guys know James

  23. http://www.bvm-moto.co.uk/electrics.htm#le...iignitionsystem any one tried these over the standard stator. can someone tell me what wire shold be connected to what so i can check the wiring. because i took the lights off and just want to double check that. it does sound like the stator or cdi though because when u rev it hard it like misses its reaLLY ANNOYING ME AND IS PUTING ME OFF THE BIKE James

    i had to make a small wire to connect the wires togerther because the connections wre differnt because you need to connect the yelloow wites together dont you?> James
