After fitting new clutch, To my Tiger Cub, metal driven plates, friction plates & removing Serco alloy cover plate and reverting back to the original metal one. The clutch was really good dry with the primary cover of just trying it around the garden. Can I run the clutch dry as soon as I put oil in (100ml transmission fluid) it goes back to slipping on kick over etc? or just a drop of oil to lubricate the primary chain. The new clutch is a lot thicker overall and the 1/4 BSF adjusting grub screw is just hanging on the last few threads, so I loctited it until I stripped down again washed it all in petrol, now no slip until I can get a longer grub screw or convert it to metric. Or do I need a drop of SAE 30 in there

I know what you mean with the email, I know George Sartin Talon Eng stopped for the same reason, as I lived near George in the UK until about a year ago. And I'm finding it strange as I have to get my trials stuff from the UK now, as there does'nt seem to be the dealers here in New Zealand. I don't know the Fosters but will ask as there is a trial this Sunday!!

Shoei RJ-101V Iv'e had this helmet some years now and the foam in the top of the helmet, is disentegrating everytime I remove the helmet I have all these bits of the old foam in my hair looked on the Shoei website but can't see any spares, just wondering if any one has had this problem or I just stick some more foam in there or is this a no no as regards safety. I don't really want to renew the helmet as its as good as new!

Yeah I've since checked my credit card in the UK and the money went out on the 23rd July so I guess its on its way. Its just that a mate said they would notify you 1st prior to posting!

Sammy Miller order
I have ordered some bits from Sammy Miller faxed the order 22/07/04, Are they on holiday, never ordered anything from them whilst in the UK. Do they let you know what the total p&p prior to sending as I now live in New Zealand, and its hassel to ring, have emailed but no reply. Anyone had dealings with them in the past ? whats the service like?

I have bought a genuine Yamaha air filter for my TY 175, and in my
Haynes workshop it shows a plastic holder, I have loaned one for now
but were do you obtain this item as Yamaha don't show it on their
database!
Is it necessary or do you just fit filter on its own?

Does anyone know the price of the new Majesty 125 that BVM have advertised on their web site. I have emailed but no reply as yet.
It looks very tasty, its a Cotswold made 125,(I think) is it the same engine thats fitted to the 125 Scorpa.
Be interesting to see how they compare price wise to a new 125 Scorpa?

I have just bought a TY175 and the engine frame No: ends 978 does that mean its a 1978 model, the tank is white & orange? And were would be the best place to get bits ie back mudgaurd for starters. Considering that I now live in New Zealand

Thanks for the info, its just the rear wheel lift seems high to me being, 24" up from the deck, does my back lifting the Cub, still will have to suck it and see. I can't remember the height of the tow bar conf when I was in the UK on my Corrola. Had to put the bit that attach's to car on its side as different tow bars here. Will paint when I have got it right.

Bike Rack
I'm trying to fit my Kliponoff (Walker engineering) bike rack fit that, I brought from the UK to fit a tow bar from New Zealand, I have tried to adapt the end that stays attached to the tow bar but its a wee bit different to the UK tow bar. And it seems a bit high for the rear wheel about 24"from the deck to the centre off the cradle, and also a bit too far away from the car, does anyone use a bike rack and we could compare measurements?

I have a pair of Falcon Classic shocks fitted to my Tiger Cub, what should the air pressure be? as they have never rebounded any sense. I weigh 85kgs

Tight clutch plates
I am trying to replace my clutch plates and after fitting, new clutch plates the clutch drags. The new clutch plates are very tight! do I need to file them down on the 3 corners ? of the sqaure lugs or just the sides. When I fitted them with the clutch hot they slid in OK. But when cold were tight. Will I damage the plates by filing them?. Are there any clutch advice sites anywere, have looked on Google no luck.
