Thanks to r2wtrials for putting it on Youtube.

Riders will also be going into Dovedale, but this means a long walk. However, as they come out of Dovedale they will go just down the road to Warners King. This group is rigt by the side of the road and is the next logical place to go to spectate after Saintbury.

Sorted......Wheel was siezed onto the spindle.
Bit of WD40, and gentle persuasion with a close fitting long reach socket and hammer on the other side did the trick........
cheers
John.
ps - a bit of copperslip due on re-assembly !
Just read your post John, I did exactly the same thing the first time I had my front wheel out of my '05. It's like an optical illusion at first, then when you realise what has happened it's obvious.

I Haven't got the route available online I'm afraid. It will be significantly different from last year. The best place to watch will be Saintbury Quarry on the other side of the road to Broadway Golf Club. There are five sections in there and the lunch stop, so the riders will be there for a while.
I am opening the sections and should be there around 11.30 ish. You could also call in at Western Wood, which is the group before approx half a mile down the road towards Chipping Campden.
If you need a map, I'm sure the Secretary of the meeting would let you have one at the start. This is at Blackwell Village Hall, near Shipston on Stour.
I hope this helps.

To be honest, I've used the 'weather caught us out' excuse many times inthe past but not when the bad weather had been forecast for days in advance!
-
Mondays scores did look a bit 'out of character' for Graham, does anyone know if there were bike issues or was it just a bad day?
-
-
Yes, for those of us who aren't there, the internet service you now provide is an amazing tool.
In the past I eagerly awaited next Fridays paper to fing out who won but now we can see the scores as they are recorded. Thank you very much.
-
I wish I'd thought of that!

Take your flippers and a snorkel. Have you seen the weather forcast?

Not that it makes any difference to riders in the USA but..... NZI helmets are not road legal in the UK, they do not carry the ACU Silver sticker and therefore aren't legal in ACU events. (Just thought that I'd throw that in for discussions sake.)

Entries for the Sam Cooper Union Jack round of the Sammy Miller Classic Trials Championship have just stopped short of the magic 100 riders.
The are 7 Sidecars, 44 Pre-65's, 32 Twinshocks and 13 Trail bikes.

Did the 4T Sherco start ok throughout the week, any reports?
Well done to JD, superb ride on the 4RT.

Thats kind of the way trials helmet are!
After a full face MX helmet, most specialist trials helmets will feel like this.
For the fit you are probably expecting, you will need to use a regular open face road helmet. I've tried this option and although you feel more secure, you can't hear what the engine is doing and I found that I got way too hot.
I suppose the fact is, that you don't need the same level of high speed protection when riding trials.

My lad had a 98 315 a few years ago and I always ran that on 80:1 (Fully synthetic) the same as all the other trials bikes I've had over the last 10 years or so.
The 315 never had a good blow out as he only ever rode easy club trials and hardly ever got out of third gear, but it still ran perfectly on 80:1. I've never had the nerve, or the need, to try any weaker.

mafferz'...... well howdy !!! no clue on what a ''stone'' is ???
Officially we've gone over to metric in the UK but a stone is 14lbs.
You'll have to look it up but apparently it's all based on logical measurements.
It stands to reason I suppose. 16 oz to a lb, 14 lbs to a stone, 12 inches to a foot, three feet to a yard.
And I won't even guess how many rods make a perch and how many furlongs make an acre.... or am I getting really confused now?

Due to the different route and sections, this year the lunch stop will be at Saintbury Quarry and not Top Farm.
It will still be Top Farm providing the refreshments but mobile, so don't forget to take your

Our C route would be classed as a Novice route.
You would expect to come accross easy drops with plenty of stopping space at the bottom, nice wide turns onto straight climbs. Any tighter turns would be on the dead flat and streams or mud slots would be straight.
If there is a small log or a rock to ride over, you would be given a straight approach with lots of room to get together after the obstacle.
The winner of our C route almost always finishes on no marks lost.
Good luck and let us know how you get on.
