  1. Glad to hear you getting yourself sort out Steve, hope the recovery goes well!
  2. Sorry to hear that Alan, I had a chat with my brother in law who is a policemanofficer, he agrees with what was said above, however it all depends if the bike was insured by the last owner who made a claim on the insurance ie they would have paid him out after a set period of the bike not being found and now the bike is property of the insurance company they could sell back to you. If the bike was not previously insured then the bike will be seized and returned to the owner. Fingers crossed it was insured, hope it works out ok.
  3. Looks good Lee, good decision with the colour! Just out of curiosity, where did you pick up the alloy kick start? Cheers Iain

    differences

05 was the first year, in 06 they made changes to the clutch to try and stop the on/off switch like feel (a 315 "larger" master cylinder helps). In 07 the cam and rear exhaust box was changed to make the bottom a little softer. 08 was same as 07 bar black frame. 09 had a few changes, the front forks and rear shock were "tuned" slightly giving a very plush ride, i think the cam was altered aswell( could be wrong) however the exhaust was changed and i felt it was much softer than the 08. since 09 there has been to my knowledge no changes. Think thats about it??
  5. If the rattle is there when ticking over in neutral, but goes away once the clutch is pulled in, its normal clutch basket rattle, any other times not normal. My 3 4RT's have all been like this after about a years use
  6. Give John Shirt a shout or visit their website - trialendurodirect.com. He is the UK importer of Gasgas and will be able to sort you out with anything you need!
  7. 4RT tubeless rear rim Jenny, no leaky spokes!
  8. Definitely leanachan in the morning, lists 4 sections but not sure if it is upper and lower leanachan like last year, the 2 "lower" subs are the easiest to get to. Lagnaha in the afternoon are SUPERB! 7 sections, split 3 and 4 with approx 1/2 mile walk in-between.
  9. Hi Jenny - hows that leg of yours coming on? To match the front to the silver rear, you could always pick up a 315 front complete front end, the yokes will go straight on - only need a new steering head bolt made up, hey presto, some fine front forks, front disc and matching silver rim? If you want to keep it fairly original, I know a lad in the local club who has got central wheel components (not tied to the company in any way, just good reports) to lace up an anodized gold 315/4rt DID tubeless rim to the standard TLR hub - i think he had to get the front done aswell however to get a perfect colour match. Hope this helps Iain
  10. I think you just managed to get trapped in the 4RT fan club Alan? As mentioned, its all about what YOU prefer, I am one of those who adore the 4RT, tried going back to 2 stroke last year and despised every second of it, the early 4RT's 05 had a few teething issues, on off clutch being the main problem, however a
  11. I just noticed that!! Doh Still, what does everyone think its worth?
  12. Hi all, I am just about to finish my Armac cub and i was wondering how much they are worth in relation to what i have spent. The bike has the best of everything. Full Armac frame, Alan Whitton engine rebuild to 230cc with all his breathing, clutch, drive sproket etc modifications carried out. 35mm ossa mar forks in T21 heavyweight sliders. Armac tank, yolks, exhaust, airbox. Dellorto 22mm carb, new cables, mudgaurds etc, everything brand new. So, what do you think it would fetch if it was sold? I cant say i've ever seen one for sale!
  13. Your bang on the money there Ishy, as the common plodder who 90% of the buyers are, why cant the manafacturers see what we need rather giving a pogo stick champion a bike and trying to convince us? I'm getting fed up with the modern scene and switching to pre 65, as many others are looking at the prices of bikes!
  14. The twinshock shop will be able to do everything mentioned, google them for the website, i have seen one of the bikes that they turned out and i am very impressed! Just a quick note on your forks, if the lug is broken on one side and you want to fit the wheel as it should be, clean up the broken lug, grind flush etc and simply swap the forks over in the yokes?
  15. Probably means the rain/dry switch thingymabob that they've got??
