  1. It's the luck of the draw I'm afraid. We've got a farm near us who welcomes trials riders 365 days a year for just
  2. Just noticed a 4t Sherco on ebygum; you don't often see one of those come up for auction. Looks like a good one but it's all the money. Click here to view
  3. Due to the heavy rain making the car park impossible to use, the Stratford-Upon-Avon Club trial will now be at Saintbury Quarry and not Top Farm as advertised. Saintbury Quarry is just three miles from the original venue and will be signposted from the A44 at the top of Fish Hill near Broadway. Sorry for the inconvenience, please pass the word around. Pete
  4. Bonkers! Don't forget, they all go to the Steve Colley School of crazyness
  5. Yeah, they could do a psycodelic flourescent pink frame and wheels.. would look good with polished yolks, swing arm, footrests etc
  6. In all of our club trials we put on three routes. Good riders on twinshocks and pre-65 machines can - and do- win the middle B route! That said, the lesser lights have been known to loose 100 on the C route on modern bikes. A lot of it's down to ability; I consider myself to be a passable clubman and expect to loose around 10 on the B route... if Alan Taylor and Steve Clarke turn up on their BSA250's they'll expect to go clean! I suggest taht you simply ride with a few different clubs and speak to as many other riders as possible. That way you'll soon get to learn what clubs and which routes to choose and which to avoid!
  7. Perhaps they've run out of different colours to paint he frame, so they can't make a 2008 model?
  8. I personally think.... A limit to the number of minders inthe section is a good idea; there should be a limit at some point. To ban all minders is a bad idea; the drops are just too severe if they get it wrong. Proffessional minders is a terrible idea; what would happen if they caught the first few then dropped one who then got hurt? I've no problem with minder to rider intercom; if minders are allowed then they should be allowed to use an electronic aid to communicate with their rider if they wish.
  9. The mine is rented by the Midland Centre but due to problems with people practicing there illegally, the centre is considering it's options. It would be a real shame to loose this excellent piece of land but the 'idiots' are putting it's trials future at risk.
  10. I'd be most suprised if it happens next year... although you never know with the FIM.
  11. I think it's almost certainly going to be Saintbury, the weather forecast is terrible! Shame, cus we spent a lot of time on thse sections at Top Farm last week and it would be a superb trial... even in the wet! We just can't park the cars anywhere, so I don't think there's going to be any alternative; it's going to be Saintbury Quarry 99%. I've emailed everyone on my email list to let them know we might have to change the venue; I'll confirm later in the week. But in the mean time anyone who doesn't know the location of Saintbury Quarry - it will be signposted from the A44 at the top of Fish hill East of Broadway. Click here for map Luckily, Saintbury is available and is only three miles from Top Farm; it is also the best venue that we have for wet weather trials and Top Farm will still bring their mobile catering van along for bacon butties...... So GAME ON!
  12. They use a tree.. or a rock.... or the floor! (or my trailer and then melt my new mudguard with their exhaust!)
  13. hi Dave, Looking at the weather forecast we won't be going to Top Farm, the carpark is in a field and it will be impossible to park. If this is the case, we will change the venue to Saintbury Quarry. Watch this space for news. Both venues we will use have sections right by the cars, so that is no problem. As for the championship, I haven't seen it advertised either, I'll see if I can find out where the next round id and get back to you. Pete
  14. Attendance numbers in the trials that we organise (in the MIdlands) seem to be constant since foot and mouth in 2001. Prior to that figures were slightly better. At a guess I would say that the riders we lost following foot and mouth were from the youth classes. We really struggle to attract younger riders despite offering three and sometimes four routes.
  15. Riding along a chain link fence on a push bike... now that is a good trick!
  16. The Stratford-Upon-Avon Club are holding a round of the Homemaster Removals Midland Centre Youth Championship at Top Farm near Snowshill on Sunday 24th June. There will be four routes available to cater for all levels of ability and Youth A,B,C&D. The championship will be incorporated inthe clubs regular Dennis Bridges Summer trial, so is open to all riders not just youth, the entries are accepted on the day. Snowshill is signposted from the A44 at Broadway and the venue will be marked from Snowshill village. The trial starts at 10.30 Pete General Secretary Stratford-Upon-Avon MC&LCC
  17. Doing the editing is the mystery to me, I always get too much rubbish inbetween the good bits. Is there a simple to use package which does the editing?
  18. Thanks for those clips Ian, it is funny how the camera does seem to make the hills look smaller and the riders look bigger than they really are (creep creep )
  19. Looks like a good price. Check oout the one on ebay as a comparison. Click Here
  20. My Scorpa SY250 probably isn't the best bike in the world, but it makes me look a lot better than I really am, so I enjoy riding it and that's the whole point of having a trials bike..... enjoyment!
  21. Bet he looks like Kevin Keegan in 1982!
  22. Happy to pay for observers and pay for land. We need both and if it keeps our trials running it's well worth the expense in my opinion.
  23. Excellent report, you obviously took a lot of time putting that together. Thanks very much.
