And must have been a twinshock as original manufacture? Otherwise they'll be turning up on those mono Yams with twinshocks fitted. Don't think anything else is necessary apart from that and no discs.
<{POST_SNAPBACK}>
Yep sorry missed that one woody...
-
Marky. only rule to apply to twinshocks is nee disc brakes, you cant get more fair than that. Any more rules and the situation gets pathetic like the so called PRE65 rules b/s. Keep the sport simple and cheap then its down to the guy on the bike and his ability. What you reckon?
-
No you cant use that 4rt twinshock woody, 99% of the bike is ok but we dont allow fuel injection. SORRY!!!
-
Good to get some intrest from you guys, just told the wife about this event saying i may be some time getting this one sorted but its for a damn good cause. Well done stu i recomend a majesty when you get sorted, mine p----s on my TLR for handleing and agility. Thanks Woody, two routes yes, its the only way, some folk like a ride out without too much fuss so always cater for the clubman. I think we got the right recipe, just wait till you see the sections!! Cheers.
-
Yes Dabster duel routes and no disk brakes allowed. The event will cater for twinshock and brit twinshock.(we may have a seperate 340 glasses wearing class).
-
Howdy folks.Any one here be intrested in competeing in a premiere twinshock road trial some time in the autunm next year. The idea being that there is no big meeting for twinshock riders in the calender only the ACU classic series, the pre65 boys have the scotish, manx and bonanza, so we in the herefordshire classic trials club want to put on an event for the twinshock brigade. Useing terrain in the same part of the county as an old national trial was once held. No dates at the mo as we dont want to clash with the ACU classic series. Anyone intersted? Cheers.
-
I was intrested more to know the dates of the classic series for next year, as our club is plannig to run a dual route road trial for twinshocks in herefordshire, so we did not want to clash with the classic series. Cheers..
-
Hi folks, Anyone here know if any provisional dates for 2006 championships have been anounced or posted? Cant see any thing on the ACU site. Cheers.
-
Thanks to jon and dan for another cracking days trialing at the brilliant craswall venue!!! THose who cant be a**ed to travel to this trial shame on you. Any one here ride at craswall today? Cheers..
-
Hi mark. I will be picking up a 250 Majesty tommorow, this one too has a godden frame and your right ,the 250 on the majesty site looks the mutts. Has anyone ever put pen to paper to document these bikes? Cheers Andy.
-
Seems to be quite a few bikes coming up for sale with em fitted but not seen one in the flesh yet. Will mail steve about the hyland results. Nic said he was going for a clean and he did! Cheers.
-
Howdy SHM. Reckon the gollner units got to be hard to come by. Try classictrial.co.uk this chap seems to do a tidy fiberglass replacement for the TLR,
-
Hi dude. Looks like you need to drill and tap that plug, pop in some all thread with a nut and washer other end to plug and gently tap against the washer till the plug comes out. It looks to me like its press fitted into the standard seal for the lifter.Cheers andy..
-
It seems to me you got a complete RTL motor in your frame, if so did the RTL have a lifter standard? if so try rigging up the RTL method? Another way is to drop the compression by fitting extra gasket, spacer under the barrel taking the strain off the kickstart mech. I gave a lift to a guy who had a flat doing the hooper national a couple of years back, he got a TLR 250 with an RTL motor fitted, there cant be many of those about??? Andy..
-
Hi folks.Anyone in UK got tlr 200 mainshaft hanging about they want to sell PDQ. PM me if so Cheers..
-
Hyland trial turned out to be a bit of fun but for Mid wales it seemed some one had nicked all the rocks, very spooky. Any one here apart from woody rode the Rhayader classic experts? if not its a cracking road based event for brit and twinshock bikes, with two route option, normally held on the saturday before rememberence sunday, well worth the trip. Cheers..
-
Howdy mr trials R fun. i will be having a ride at the hyland tommorow, by all acounts its a top slice of land we are useing according to woody. Next year its hoping the meeting will be a two dayer, should save the stress of trying to get in the manx classic. See you tmrw, my riding number is 14 Cheers.
-
I agree with excellent trial comment stick,i have rode this trial 5 times either on a brit or twinshock, 2 days of proper sections and good going between. just a dam shame it got difficult to get an entry. I wonder if a two day twinshock trial over there has been thought of?. Cheers..
-
Gordon. got the clutch sorted on the tlr. I used a CR80 replacement clutch set and am now useing silkolene semi sinth oil. The bike will now take off in 3rd and 4th from standing, ride at tick over then full throttle and no slip at all!! Cheers for the old TC forum info on clutchs. Andy.
-
Hows yerself stu. Glad you like the avatar,i take it your a fast show fan too. When you get back home you will have to meet the HCTC commitee, its just like sceen from the fast show meets little britain!! A--E!! Andy.
-
Thanks john for the link, shall have a look on there ina bit. Just been round to a mate, he got a tlr 200 in bits. Look as tho top race too shallow to take taperd rollers, bottom of headstock seems ok for the job. Cheers Andy.
-
Anyone here changed their headstock roller bearings for taperd items? If so got any numbers and sizes? Cheers
-
Theres a guy in bradford area who makes HT5 frames, and he aint too dear. Send me a PM and i can give you his phone number. Cheers..
-
Sounds good to me woody. Can you PM me the number of the majesty owner when you got a mo.Thanks. Did you ever ride the wye valley traders back in its twinshock hayday? I am a member of this club and waiting to do an OTC COC seminar in turn try get a NAT COC licence, in turn try get this trial back on the calender. Be a good ACU classic round dont ya think? CHEERS..
-
Cheers woody, that backs up my theory. You now its a piece of s**te when the seller cant reply. Any idea how many 250 majestys were built and from which year on? I got a tlr 250 which i ride in classic events & done a few ACU classic rounds on but fancy a change. Would you by any chnce be the rider of an MAR ossa? Cheers Andy..
