Excellent pics of my fave era of trials. Does any one here have any pics of the wye valley traders from the same era? I am working on trying to get this trial back on the calender as a twinshock national. Cheers

Anyone here know the best gear set up for a TY80? The bike i am putting together for my son came with 12-41 but worn out, so need to find the correct set up. Cheers.
-
Hi folks. What ever happend to John reynolds then?
-
Nice looking bike there old trials fanatic. What sort of price do you pay for those shocks from mick or is there an outlet who sells them, as i want a pair of those for my majesty. Iam also building a brit, i have a mike mills frame with a B25 motor, alan whitton hubs and ignition, and its got triumph adventurer forks and yokes. Will post some pics when i got a camera! Cheers

Stu. How could we forget you!!!!
-
Hi Greengrass. How much more useless info u got on "TREM" to tell? And more Traders Stuff? I could sit and read it for hours!! I took a walk up TREM back in the spring, and i got to say thats one fearsome gully!! Cheers
-
Good trial, crap ride as far as i see it, but will be back next year. yes i would have liked to see thorpy clean ashfield too, serious rider that bloke!! Were did you see the result sheet? havent had one yet, mind you we only just got electric in hereford!! Si.
-
HI MOTU A company in the uk called talon engineering ltd will supply you with a 9 tooth gearbox sprocket. Most folk run 9/44 and that seems ok, splines are the same 200/250 as they use the same bottom end. Looks like a cracking pair of bars on that 250 you showed us!!! What is the trials scene like down there in the land of the long white cloud? Cheers
-
Howdey kev, My tlr gearing is 9/39. Spot on in the sections, S--TE on the road. What did you make of that rhayader trial last saturday? Most folk i spoke to during and after the event reckoned there was no need for all they stupid mud sections with all that rock about! And most reckoned not to bother next year.. Cheers simon..

Anyone here riding the Rhayader Classic Experts on saturday then? Well worth the trip if you got a twinshock or brit bike. This event uses sections from the british experts trial run in the 60s &70s.So its a top day out with about 25 miles out on the road in a cracking part of wales. Cheers.

Thanks guys, input appreciated. Looks like the monty rings the bell. Cheers
-
Hi chaps. I am looking to buy my son of six his first trials bicycle, whats the best make for a first bike, value etc. Cheers
-
Any one here thought about getting an Inter center Twinshock anual event started ? Modern And PRE65 got one, what about us then?
-
Try the guy at japanbikespares.co.uk. He imports most trials models from japan, he may be of help to you. Ask for eddie..
-
Well said that man woody! If you want to use discs in your club trials carry on , but they are not eligable in our trial!!
-
Exellent news John, nip the trickery in the bud early enough then the twinshock class wont go like the Brit class!! Top marks.
-
Totally argee with you martin to bring back the traders. It would be hell of a trial again and we would get a real national back in the western center!!! The step the other chaps are talking about is CWM STEP, its in a road side gutter, and is a good three foot step of slab, but its an overhung step. Only one line up too, you can see where over the years the edge of it has been worn away by many sump guards. NEVER GIVE UP HOPE, IT MAY RUN AGAIN ONE DAY.. Cheers
-
Tubeless tyres realy arent going to make much difference in the way the section is laid as much it would be for disc breaks. Your on the list dude!
-
Aye stu waiting for the classic series dates to be announced.IF nowt clashes it will be in earley september 06. I take it by then you will have got yer self a twinshock? Work started saturday last on one group and we got a nice four foot rock step to go at! We are back there next weekend to do more if you want to help out. Cheers
-
Old Trials Fanatic, READ CAREFULLY, NO DISC BRAKES ON THIS TRIAL. You got ten months to get the 340 out the shed and road legal. The aim of this event is to recreate the spirt of the twinshock era. Cheers.
