    New 4Rt Owner

I took the stand off mine. With the tilt sensor it means that it won't flood, so I just lay it down if there isn't something convenient to lean it against.

    Clutch basket removal

Thanks for all the suggestions. I wasn't so worried about the rope in the barrel because I

    Clutch basket removal

Thanks. I'll give it a try and report back.
  4. Anyone got any tips on how to remove the centre bolt from the clutch so that I can remove the clutch basket? Everything just keeps moving. I've made a tool to hold the edge of the gear. Tried a normal socket, long bar, impact driver and now an air impact driver, but nothing has budged it. I've also tried left and right hand thread for both.
  5. Several people sell them on eBay, if you search for 'AJP cover'.

  7. Tried an OKO flat sided carb on my 250 but just couldn't get it to run right. Went back to the original Keihin in the end.
  8. Just done my renewal on-line for both me and my son. It was soooooo simple. I often forget to get our license signed and stamped until the way home from a trial. This made everything much easier. A good move by the ACU.
  9. Thanks 5again, having something to plan around is good. I agree Jimmy. It cost us nearly
  10. Thanks Telecat. Not really interested in the BTC trials. Was interested in the Tradional Series and other clubman standard nationals like the Dave Rowlands, Lakes 2 Day, etc.
  11. Does anyone know when the national dates for 2012 will be available? There is normally a list on the ACU website, but I've not seen it yet. Many thanks
  12. Late reply because not been online for a while. Great series and love doing all the trials from Lanc County to Mansfield in severity but

    Rev timing

Thanks for the suggestion. Long time since I had a two-stroke this old. I'll look to get one on order. Do you know how to check if the timing is right?

    Rev timing

Hi, Does anyone have instructions on how to check the timing on a 2004 Rev 50? I replaced the seal behind the flywheel on my sons Rev 50 last week because the engine was smoking quite a bit when cold. It didn

    Rebore question

Thanks Dom and all, Panic over. Using my callipers the piston is about the same measurement on the skirt below and at right angle to the gudgeon pin. The top of the piston seems to
  17. Hi Hensteeth, If anything it is lighter than the original centre box. It is made from much lighter gauge stainless than the original. I've had it on the bike for at least the last 8 years and it's still almost as good as new. I got it made by a specialist exhaust company in Wales who made exhausts for Edmunson
  18. Completely agree with John. When mine started to rot it became a relentless task of patching the exhaust until I took it to a fabricator to replace the bottom quarter of the exhaust. This only stopped the problem for a short time before I had to get one made. The person I took it to recommend stainless.
  19. Been away for a couple of days so sorry for the late reply. Yes it's a 1989 bike.
  20. Mine is doing it almost every kick. When it's warm it seems much better but not good. There is a shaped washer on the shaft so when I split the engine I might try that the other way round. I've just ordered all the springs and washers, so when they arrive I'll split the engine.
  21. Thanks so much Motomike. It looks like I've put something together wrong on the kick start shaft.
  22. The book recommends 900cc of oil. However, there should be a small oil check bolt just in front of the kick start. Remove this and fill until it begins to flow out of the hole. I think that you
