Allright so Doug is having a tough old time of late, but its times like this when we need to get behind him.
He proved at Sheffield he still has a great deal to offer and I'm sure he will prove himself on the Beta 2 stroke over the coming year.
-
Fuji did used to ride the 315 Cota with the big Dougie Lampkin No 1 sticker on the tank. That was probably the incentive that won Fuji the title.

Whilst Bou is undeniably the current best rider in the World it is foolish to say that Bou is the best rider the world has ever seen, only time will tell.
The best rider the world has ever seen is Doug, results speak for themselves.
-
Whilst his best years are obviously behind me, happens to the best of them, he still contributes hugely to the sport of motorcycle trials and is still more than capable of mixing it with the best of them. He's not there to make up the numbers.
A great ambassador for Great Britain and trials.
-
You should think yourselves lucky. Last week in the UAE we had record rainfall and continious rain for 5 days!!!! No what you expect in the desert.
-
Hopefully they'll have a go at the UAE Desert Challenge at the end of the year.
-
Forget Fajardo, what about Britains other Beta rider, Michael Brown, it will be great to see him ride at the top level and I'm sure he will surprise a few people.
-
Aye and I suppose Perce is a lot easier to shout than sheep shagger.
-
Absolutely nothing at all. It was the first name I thought of when registering on Trials Action many moons ago. I get a little embarassed when someone refers to me as Cota Kid.

X Treme Trial Team in Dubai

I thought all Montesa bikes come from Spain?
-
Your so modest. Filming trials is not easy.
-
I agree with ShercoWarrior. The non award is a much better idea and should have been included in the poll.
-
-
Fear of injury. In much the same reason as Doug was prevented from riding the Scott for so many years and probably why Laia hasn't ridden for a few years.
-
Smage need to be in Europe competing. By Noel's (Dad) own admission the lad cannot ride up and down hills, where they live is flat as a pancake, thats why he struggled in Poland last year. Masters gradients and he will be a sure winner. Does all his practice on indoor style sections. Avondale Management are you listening?
-
Everyone thinks that Bou has the talent to go all the way and beat Doug's 7 consecutive World titles but whether or not he does only time will tell. At the moment he looks unbeatable but a reduced number of indoor rounds may go against him and outdoor a rejuevenated Raga, an injury free Beta 2 Stroke Doug and as ever Fuji may just distribute the WTC round wins a little more evenly than last year.
-
Got a nice set of 2008 Repsol plastics for when the frame is done. Shame they don't have the Repsol graphics on the inside of the rear mudguard, like the factory bikes do, as pointed out to me by Kinell, but they still look the business.
-
In no particular order.
Doug on the 2 stroke Beta.
Browny riding the WTC.
Wiggy on the 4RT in the Junior World Cup.
Dibs climb the WTC standings.
Bou doing anything.
Doug v Fujigas in the Scott.
Doug in the SSDT.
Jake Miller in the SSDT.

The training regime, comeback is well under way. With out going into too much detail, a large amount of testing has already been carried out.
Steak
Meat & Potato
Mince & Onion
Chicken & Mushroom.
A sponsorship deal with Ginster is also on the cards.
-
They were supposed to be for the TdN events only, but for whatever reason Dibs is still using them. The usual colours for the TRW Future Trial Racing Team is a yellowy gold colour.
-
The bikes have 3 engine mappings.
Blue
Green
Blue/Green.
-
The greenwheels were a one off on Dib's bike for the TdN.
-
I've no doubts that Andy and Kinell's coverage will be first class. I know how much effort they both put into it as I saw Andy getting the ale in during the break. That's the first time ever I've seen him drink on duty, so it must of been pretty damn hot on that Arena floor.
