Its not quite perfect its a remote control. Your bound to end up spending hours on your knees looking for it under the settee or wedged behind the cushions, alongside

Yeah and a huge disappointment there's no WTC in the UAE.
No excuses, Atomant, Bangors a cracking venue and only a short flight away and the rest of Europe is very accessible via numerous budget airlines.
Get yourself there and cheer Doug and the rest of the British lads. It is going to be a great year, Browny riding at the top level and Dibs and Wiggy with Future Trial Racing.
-
The reality is, it is more exciting Doug moving to Beta 2 stroke than if he had remained with Montesa.
Someone , with a a lot more knowledge of the sport than me, once commented that Doug is a a better 2 stroke rider than he is 4 stroke. I don't think its a case of Doug sticking one on Montesa no one said that about Bou on his switch last year, his motivation lies in his determination to win and win he will.
Next year will see his 100th WTC Round win and who knows even that 8th World Title.
Its all about believing.

An Englishman with an Italian Team. An Italian managing the English Team.
-
And so begins a new chapter.
Doug moving to Beta is a huge loss to the Montesa HRC Team, who just won't be the same without him. However we all move on and I am throughly pleased that Doug is continuing to ride at the highest level of the sport. A true ambassador for the sport and a true champion.
Let hope the change in factories might just result in the 100th round win and a 8th WTC title.
As a Montesa rider I thank Doug for his achievements at Montesa and wish him all the best with Beta.
Viva Dougie Lampkin!
PS. We've still got Dibs and Wiggy so alls not lost.

What you talking about Willis?
-
Reminds me of the story in the papers about a certain Scottish gentleman's fondness for his bicycle.
-
Although I have been told that I will be paid not to attend, I strongly recommend Doug's Trial School in August. Whilst my riding may not be the best advert for the school I keep thinking to myself how bad would I have been if I hadn't of gone.
It may be a trek but it will be well worth it. Not only do you get first class tuition from the best trials rider ever, you also get Martin Lampkin and James Dabill thrown in for nothing. Above all its a damn good laugh and you also get the opportunity to ask Doug some real personal questions. For example.
How much do you earn?
What type of moisturiser do you use?
Whats your favourite colour?

No doubt at some point I will miss the cold, damp miserable British weather but in the meantime I think I can put up with the heat. I'll just think of the price of fuel in the UK and the amount of income tax.

So if I did have my 4RT shipped over, the custom officer would rub his chin and say.
''I've only ever saw a bike like this once before.''
What about marks out of ten for the nightlife?

There's nothing wrong with a bit of canoeing in the North Sea. Who knows where you might end up?

I can't imagine many Scots been so extravagent as to part with a whole 20 pence. Even if it is the call God.

Sounds like a superb event, just a shame I cannot ride it.
-
Who cares.
Middlesbrough out classed and throughly deserved their win against Arsenal.
I said strange things happen.
-
1. Spain 59
2. GB 38
3. Italy 26.
-
Your also forgetting the data discs going missing from the Child Benefit Centre in Washington, Tyne & Weeee-Ah.
Probably turn up in Panama.
Darwin has probably forgotten that he was a prison guard, so he should be allright.
-
Lets be honest if the British Team of Doug, Dibs and Grimbo manage to take the title from Spain, then it will probably be the biggest ever upset in World Trials. Especially with a Spanish team that boasts the best 3 indoor riders in the World in Bou, Raga and Cabestany.
Mind you they still have a better chance against the Spanish than Middlesbrough have against Arsenal.
But this is sport and strange things happen.
Good luck to the team, I'm sure they will give 100%. (thats both GB and Boro).

If I sold up I would be lucky to live out to the rest of the week...and its Saturday now!

Aye and the name Gareth Southgate could easily be replaced with either Allardyce or Keano.
In fact Allardyce could easily fit the bill as he has been investigated for a few financial irregularities regarding bungs etc in his time.
-
I find the current story in the media about John and Anne Darwin as the most interesting bit of news in a long time, especially at a time when the media is overwhelmed by celebs, Lady Di's death and the war on terror.
Looks like good old greed got the better of them both. They already owned 12 properties in County Durham but that obviously wasn't enough.
How on earth did he realistically think he was going to get away with it and his wife claiming they were going to pay the insurance company back the 295K they defrauded.
And to return back to the UK claiming amnesia.
Are these people for real?

and a free lunch every day.......

Its the black frame sticker set made by Mitani.

I believe that over 20,000 fans are travelling from England to support Hatton. Its class the way he wears his Man City tracksuits and floppy Madchester style hat.
